Highest Level of Hockey You Could Compete

What was the highest level of hockey youve ever played and what was the intensity level on and off the ice?

OJHL (Jr.A), it was very good and I didn't play a lot. (Ended up getting sent down) not because of my skill, but because I haven't ever worked out and I'm pretty weak in comparison to most of those guys.

I'm confused. The title asks which is the highest level that you could compete, but the OP asks what is the highest that you did compete.

It was a pond. Big pond though. 2x4s for goals. Occasional little sister on figure skates in the way. Games sometimes ended when the puck missed the goal and went through the ice near a spot near shore that wasn't frozen.I suffer from LOFT or I might have played indoors...

Actually, C level beer league.

College club hockey, now Men's league .. where I'm at, A league is mostly guys who could play at college D1/D3 level, B league is a wide range, some could be D3, most are a step below (like me), and some have only been skating for a few years .. and C league is everything below that

Was told I could have for sure played Jr.C (Ontario) by a few people I know, but due to circumstances beyond my control (childhood cancer - and beat it!) I had to stop for a couple years at age 12, so by the time that came around I was just doing lots of beer leagues, etc., and now just stick to pick up and beer leagues and tournaments.

Nowadays? If I were to get in great shape, I could probably hold my own as a defensive forward or stay-at-home d-man in B-level men's league.

I didn't start playing organized hockey until midget (age 16), but if I had started ten years earlier, I probably could have ended up as a pretty good player and maybe played low-level Jr. but who knows...

Sometimes I wonder if there is a country that I could make the national team. Like Madagascar or Tibet.

If you need someone to bang and crash but rarely touch the puck, I could probably get up to B. I'm fairly strong on my skates, though my backwards skating really leaves something to be desired and my puck moving capabilities probably couldn't keep up with the speed at that level.

I coach a C/D level adult clinic, and I have been offered spots on adult B teams. But I've only been playing about 2 years...But I've played 1-3 nights a week for basically the entire 2 years.

I'm sure if I started when I was very young I'd be halfway decent, or completely hate the game by now.

I played in college for three years and went to a prep highschool. Started when I was six and my parents pushed my brother and I pretty hard. My older brother was always better than me though...hes bigger and a workout warrior. I think it really helped me playing against him and his older friends. When I would play my pee wee travel games I spent all week going against high school guys who just wanted to hit and dangle. Then I had confidence and could score almost at will against 12 year olds my age.
