He got a stick in the nose and has to go to the room last night, late 2nd or in the 3rd.

Not sure if that was sarcasm or not, (cause alot of people like to bash spaceman), but yah, i beleive that's right. I think our defence right now is a little young and inexperienced and they just need another veteran back their to calm things down. I beleive he was also our best plus/minus guy last year.

The defence nor the goalie were the problems in the last two games....

How can you win with such an offense and PP ?

Cole is Cold . Please Jacques and the Randys: kick his ass... !

It was sarcasm, but not aimed at spacek. More aimed at the lacklustre effort we've been giving lately. Spacek looked very good early on, imo.

It's not obvious that something is wrong. Why do you think so?

Never got the dislike of Spacek. He's always given us solid minutes with solid play. And let's face it -- we desperately need whatever defense experience we can get. I like Diaz and Emelin, but a fast transition game often begins with the D feeding our forwards, and Spacek knows the drill far better than our talented rookies.

Looking forward to his return. Plus, my wife loves his straight-man style of interview. "Favourite cartoon? Simpson."

Spacek is just fine on the left side and on a second or third pairing. I'd rather have Hamrlik, but...

Agreed. Hamrlik was feistier. But if we're playing this "Rather have" game, I'd rather have Doughty and Shea Weber. And a Guiness with my dinner.

It's amazing how much of our offense is tied to our defense, in terms of transitioning, set-ups and point presence. Right now, our rookie defense corps is like driving on two spare tires. Meanwhile, the garage is repairing the puncture on our Campoli tire while promising us that the kick-ass belted Russian radial we spent a fortune on should be coming in from Florida any week now.

Any news on craptastic Gomez and his injury? Pacioretty? (I know Max came back and finished the game...)

My guess is Emelin sits with Spacek back and we get pushed around further.

Plekanec is back on the point for the PP.
Darche and DD are on the first unit.
Eller is not on the PP.
Moen is likely still in the top 6 if not the top 9.

Be prepared for it, cause you know it's going to happen.

I think you'll all be disappointed in your saviour. 2 years pretty much out of the line-up, and 2 years older. I think his better days are behind him.

Weber has been playing more minutes than Diaz for a vast majority of games, why would he sit Weber if he'd rather play him than Diaz? I will never understand Martin.

Sometimes you just have to stop trying to figure out Martin.

At the beginning of last season Martin put had a good idea in putting AK with Gomez and Gionta to try to spark some things up. He was arguably our best forward with Plek. Problem is, a couple shift into the game, Gionta got promoted without merit while AK stayed with Gomez/Moen and got the life sucked out of him.
This season, AK is again one of our better forwards. After two absolute beautiful games where his line pretty much dominated, he gets appreciated by seeing Darche play more than him. The man gets 12min of ice time with 23sec on the PP. Matter of fact, only Engqvist played less than AK yesterday. Meanwhile, our great veterans, Gionta and Cammy, that create jack crap, get to play close to 20min.

And then people make fun of AK for saying JM doesn't listen to him to a Russian journalist?? They question his integrity?? Man, we're lucky this kid even wanted to re-sign here. Otherwise it would have been PG forced to move yet another talented player without getting proper return, and see him come to fruition elsewhere. Meanwhile in Mtl, we would have continued to struggle with our ''top 6''.

This veteran freebie mode is getting really annoying. This is the 3rd year for Martin, there's no more excuse. Weber has been solid for us. I'll be very pissed if Martin screws this kid up.

Uh, AK hits. Sometimes he hits hard. Martin doesn't like to see his players doing that kind of thing. Messes up the system.
