I was hoping for a split of the trip so we've already met my expectations. Anything else is a bonus. Extremely pleased with the start of the season considering the team is missing two of it's top defensemen, haven't played a home game, and have played games in three different countries.

Let's get two more tonight, LGR!
Why on earth would they scratch their leading scorer? Not to mention Gagner sucks.

And the Oilers are not to be taken lightly. I have a bad feeling about this.

Ahh thanks, maybe we'll see a Smid/Avery fight?

They might do it to delay the decision a bit and to get a sense for what the team would be like without him.

He's in the minors . When he was here, he didn't fight much, because he pretty much sucks everyone into taking a roughing penalty because he fakes his hands like he's going to drop the gloves.

Oh wow, in the minors? I thought he was that type that instigates and then runs away....but I didn't realize he was so bad he was in the minors right now. You can tell I don't follow the East too well hey?

Last time we slaughtered these guys! I think even Frolov had a couple, right? Gaborik had one of his hat tricks (still think it's funny he scored 10 of his 22 goals in 3 games last year, leaving him with 12 goals in the other 59 games).

Obviously I'd love to see 3 in a row, but I'd like to see Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan get going more offensively. I missed the Europe games and fell asleep before the western games could end, but from what I've seen they are barely showing glimpses.

Is Wolski going to be in?

I think Ani has shown some good signs this year. Also, the line looked very good in the 3rd period of the last game.

Yup, I was sleeping.

I can't wait for things to go back to normal. This sucks.

I was extremely pessimistic about the last two games and we won. I'm fairly optimistic that we'll win this one, so naturally, we'll lose.

Not sure how much of the game I'll be able to see, if any.

Jim Gaffigan show at 9:30 here at UB, then my friend is coming up from Binghamton so who knows if he'll sit down and shut up long enough for me to catch the end of the game.

Hope so,

LETS GO RANGERS

Not sure where to ask this, so I figured I would just do it in this thread.

Any updates on Sauer? I know he's listed as DTD, but in the NHL that can mean a ton of things. I mean, Tim Connolly was DTD for the first couple weeks of the season. Now he's on our IR.

Thanks in advance guys.

Yesterday they said he would need at least (2) more practices with the team before he plays in a game. He is getting there but they want to make sure he is entirely healthy before putting him back out there.

You clearly don't pay much attention to anything. He had 12 fighting majors last year; he fight to defend his teammates all the time. If someone runs him he will get guys to take dumb penalties but he's the first one to drop them when one of his teammates has been cheap shotted. Wake up out there in the sticks; there's a whole world out there.

Going to the game tonight, last one on this trip, I've had a great time in Western Canada.

Calgary was something else.... I'd love to visit there more often. The people there are so kind, the smell of the nearby gasoline, the multicultural aspect of the city, the cool Canadian breeze, tons of flames jerseys everywhere, just a great experience. The game was also entertaining, the fans were relatively more friendly than the ones in Vancouver, I wasn't as loud and obnoxious as in Vancouver. The Saddledome had a good crowd too, fans were usually on their seat the whole game. On the OT goal, it seemed like Callahan was celebrating before it got into the net, it was really awkward, maybe he is a psychic? I was wearing the same Dubinsky jersey I wore at the Canucks games and I think some of the players recognized me, it was pretty cool. All in all, this road trip has been very entertaining, hopefully they sweep it tonight!
