FIFA gives MLS the finger; 2018 & 2022 WCs to Fox.

DAVID FREESE!

From total bonehead on the E5 to savior on a 2 RBI triple to hero on a solo home run. That's the beauty of baseball.

It has to do with MLS because FIFA has long held the philosophy that you get World Cup rights by supporting the domestic leagues. NBC went after MLS partly because it needed Versus programming, but also because it wanted a shot at the World Cup. MLS just left Fox because of FSC's crappy coverage. Fox, however, has the rights to the Premier League, Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, and if memory serves, Ligue 1 and the Scottish League as well. 80% of FSC's content is produced by Sky Sports, and they even show Sky Sports News during the day, ticker and all. In short, they're Eurosobs.

It basically puts MLS over a barrel in the next round of TV negotiations and shows that MLS doesn't have FIFA's support.

Things are going to get really interesting in 2015...

Ringer had more rushing yards than CJ had total yards today.

Somehow, this team is not only still in the playoff race, but could still very easily win the division. They won't do it with the running game as indecisive as it has been, though.

Weak second half as usual, but a win is a win. The talent is there, but the rookie coaching staff has been out coached as far as halftime adjustments on a consistent basis this season (outside of Baltimore).

Another week where the Titans are out coached on halftime adjustments. It's crazy how bad they've been in the second half of these games.

But I thought coaching was the whole problem to begin with?

This Paterno thing has me sick to my stomach, he should resign after today's presser if the questions we know he's going to get, he doesn't answer

Edit: presser cancelled

What has Paterno done wrong? We know he was told about one incident and reported it upline. It's not like he was covering up a scandal that his organization was responsible for.

This literally has NOTHING to do with the Penn State football program. ESPN just wants to sensationalize anything they can. It's a serious issue for sure, but definitely nothing that can, will or should be linked to Paterno or the program.

It has everything to do with the program. Look at Artice 2.4 of the NCAA Constitution. "Principle of Ethical Conduct" "In a broad spectrum of activities affecting the athletics program" Jo Pa had a moral obligation to report it to police. The guy was still hanging around up until last week on campus. It is sickening.

Jo Pa doesn't have any legal trouble coming his way at all. But, his statement that he made on Sunday thru his son will seal his fate as the coach. There is probably going to be a clean sweep of AD, Pres, Coach, and others.

1st of all, the blame for not reporting it starts with the GA/now coach. I'm sorry, if any normal human being saw a kid getting sodomized, first instinct shouldn't be, "gee golly, I oughtta report that to someone." **** that. you stop it. you call the cops. you call protection services. The guy knew what was happening, I want ghim to answer why he didn't stop it. when Paterno got ahold of it, I thought he did the right thing sending it up the ladder. At that point it is the GA word vs the coach's word and PSU should have stepped in. Unless you count stepping in as taking the guys locker room keys away.

Joe Paterno should be stripped of all wins and PSU should get the death penalty.

That's the over-the-top ridiculous sensationalism that is ruining not only sports, but society in general. I can only hope that you are joking.

You can go stand in the corner over there with Paterno, the Grad Assistant, PSU AD, and the PSU Vice Pres.
