This month really could become the death blow on this season, to finish the month we play
Toronto who are (5-1)
Florida who are (3-3) (and are shockingly looking pretty good)
Philly (4-1-1)
Boston x 2 who are (3-4) but are looking better as of late,
what happens if say, we win only one of those 5 games, OT maybe 2 of them
your looking at a record of 2-6-3 for 7 points, realistically your looking at a long term hole then that you'd have to dig yourself out of. Assuming that after 11 games ( the standings will be the same or the same 8 generic teams are where they are now with the same point% that they are averaging)
you've got
Boston Florida NYR and NYI who all conciveably be about 6-8 points ahead.
Not insurmountable, but your approaching a dangerous area where coming back is going to be far to difficult, much like the devils last year or the Leafs the year before.
The Habs need to start tonight, the way they did at the ACC but only finish...they have dominated a couple of games this year, only to not score...frustrating...it would be nice to slow down the parade in TO...boy alot of their fans are annoying during their good start, reminds me of last year...
I think it's a big win tonight, along the lines of 5-2 Habs...
I'd like to see at least 60 minutes of effort tonight from the Habs. I'd also like to see Eller get some PP time and some time with Pacioretty. I feel him and Max would be a great combo. Also, is Weber not playing tonight?
I won't be able to watch this game because I have a Financial Accounting midterm from 6-9pm... On a Saturday. And I have another exam in Business Statistics tomorrow. My life sucks.
At least we know that if the Habs win tonight, it was my fault that we couldn't win four in a row. Good luck boys!
First, it's the Leafs and on national TV.
Second, we're already way behind in the standings and don't want to drop any further.
Third, Bell Centre crowd is going to be out for blood if we falter.
Play like we did against Buffalo and hope Reimer isn't too godlike again.
Don't forget BTW, cheer on the Alouettes in a premier match-up before the Habs game.
it will be humiliation on home ice.
fans will boo them, especially the lifeless zombie cyborg corpse JM - BOO
another 2 points for the leaf
go away JM go away
I hope Eller plays center tonight, and does really well.
Glad Gomez is out!!
I am definitely happy to see Eller back at center. That is where he is best suited and I feel he has a very high ceiling. I want to see the Habs give him more trust and responsibility. Give him better wingers (I think him a Pacioretty would be a great combo) and some time on the special teams. Develop him to be our top scoring center.
But never did I want it to happen because of an injury. I want this team 100% healthy and firing on all cylinders. I feel it is just a matter of time before he forces Martin's hand and he has to play him more.
Confidence is key tonight. Loosen up the grip on your sticks, remain calm and play the simple game. If the Habs can do that, they can win. If we see the same team over the last three games, the Habs won't have it easy.

To be fair, if we play like we did vs BUF (but execute), we'll be in business.
