As an ex-player who has just recently left the NHL he brings credibility, knowledge and insight that "sens insiders" and moderators just don't have.
A good host will use this attribute and I am beginning to see some "chemistry" developing in the post-game analysis. Todd is a welcome addition to Ottawa sports radio.

On another note, when is there going to be a massive overhaul of TGOR. "Filler radio" with little or no substance. Pierre would be the exception and once in awhile they get a good guest. Thoughts?

I don't understand why in Ottawa the majority of the people covering the team both in the newspaper and on radio are self professed fans of other teams...and almost appear to dislike both the Senators and the city of Ottawa..is this common in other cities or just Ottawa? I personally would rather listen to people who support the team rather than constantly play devil's advocate.....i wont even start on that clown shoe on TGOR constantly ripping Alfie, yeah thats great radio

Yup. Todd White is all right. He's smart as well so he's able to actually articulate a point of view.

I think Ray Ferraro on the NHL Power Hour has been a huge pickup. Definitely one of the best analysts out there

All non game nights show have a show after healthy scratches.

Saturday afternoons Should have an NHL show that covers the league indepth. Not just round tables before the game.

Sunday morning used to have a recap show for saturday night.

I hate them. I hate their teams (leafs, habs). I hate their cities, their **** wives, their children and their pets. I wish them nothing but pain, humiliation and despair.

And I hope their houses burn down and they lose their family pictures, the server they stored them on and all their children's toys.

Jerome is a nut...he's in Edmonton and he thinks Alfie is a ******, which is hilarious since he's on an Ottawa station, wow.

I just about lost it this morning when I heard Showkiller say he has an "agent" and "talent manager". I guess getting into CKCU or CHUO is a hard task these days...

Oh how he tries! Heard Doug Mclean interviewed on 1200 the other day and there is certainly some animosity towards Pierre. Goes back to some comments Pierre made about McLean rushing Brule into the NHL when he was with Columbus. Mclean referred to him as a "video coach" with the Pens when they won the cup, as if to say Pierre inflates hs credentials.

He rips Alfie every chance he gets but also seems to dislike Spezza and takes a shot at him whenever the opportunity arises.

He also ripped Zibby for not declaring his desire for the Sens to win the cup when answering questions about being sent back to Sweden.

He seems to be unaware that the Sens had a visit to the cup finals after the Oilers run which he refers to often when not maundering on about the glory days of the Oilers cup wins.

I dont know why he is on the show at all.

I wonder if a radio host in Toronto could profess his love for the Sens and still have a job. Only in Ottawa is the team covered by fans of other teams. Makes it hard to listen actually.

I don't care that Jerome is a nut or hates our team really. I'm too preoccupied with the fact that he's an idiot or knows nothing about sports.

TGOR - "So, how about that Sens-Florida game. Exciting last minute."
Jerome - "Oh, nobody cares about that. Lets talk about sweaters, baking, reality TV, pornography or alcohol."
TGOR - 'Uh, ok... let's be polite and see where this is going."
Jerome - "Oh, wait. I'm thinking of a hockey player. Do you guys remember him?"
TGOR - "Bunny Laraque?"
Jerome - "No, no, no. More famous and blue."
TGOR - "Uh.... Brett Hull?"
Jerome - "No, you know. The guy. Won the trophy at the end of the year and everything."
TGOR - "Messier?"
Jerome - "No, his teammate!"
TGOR- "Brian Leetch?"
Jerome- "No, the skinny guy."
TGOR- "Wayne Gretzky?"
Jerome- "Yeah, that guy."

Kills 5 minutes of air time just to figure out what he's trying to say on the rare occasions that he actually talks about sports.

I hate almost everything about the Team 1200. I hate Jim Rome and all the late night piped in Fox crap. I hate TGOR. I hate the Sens pre-game show. Not a fan of Wilson and Brown. I work nights and sometimes listen to the Sens post game stuff. I hated Mike Eastwood but like Todd White. I thought Shean Donovan was terrific in that spot as well.

I refuse to listen when Jerome is on - I even tune out the first question to Maquire which he gets to ask so he's out of the way. He has no business being on radio. I did catch a few lines of his diatribe saying Cherry should not be on the TV because of his antics.

Versage (Captain dead air) and his sidekick Ultra Monotone are horrible. You can actually see the thought process (lack of one) as they try to figure out what to say.. Its laughable when Versage plays mad. Both need to go. I try to miss that show to.

Yes, except for the fact that Lloyd is always whining about the fact that he has two young kids and he doesn't get to sleep much....like he's the one in the world with young kids and we should all feel sorry for him. I have two young kids, I don't spend my time whining to people about it, let alone on a radio show for all to hear. I'm sure he reads this site too, so Lloydy, quit whining about your damn kids, no one wants to hear it.

Versage doesn't even have a voice for radio. His intonation is all wrong and I often have trouble hearing what the hell he's saying. He does seem to actually LIKE the Sens so that's a plus, but he's a true Devils fan. Don't ask me why or how! As for Showkiller, why he's on the Team1200 while being a hardcore Leafs fan is a mystery. Not like he has Scott MacArthur presence and knowledge. Meh. I actually prefer listening to TSN Radio Toronto, since they at least cover the NHL most of the time, while those two talk more football than hockey 80% of the show.

My personal two fav Jimism's that they continue to replay are the time he asked Pierre about Sid Crosby possibly using a new stick which was completely off topic at the time and Pierre quickly shuts him down and seems bothered by such a stupid question and moves on to the next question....then there is the infamous tylenol for a concussion claim, absolutely the stupidest thing ive ever heard a broadcaster say in my life, seriously!

I find both guys have the same problems:

1. They don't have good radio voices.
2. None of their takes on sports are particularly interesting or insightful.
3. They use way, way too many words to express those takes. Both will talk for a minute or two to express some very basic idea that could be put out in 10 seconds.

As much as people hate on TGOR, it at least has two guys who are legit broadcast professionals... which I don't think you can say about ANY of the other programming on 1200.

Actually - scratch that last point; the Kevin Haime show is quite well done (IMO).
