well, this is philly, where the folks aren't known for holding back their thoughts, and our expensive new goalie hasn't been playing up to expectaions, nor contract..... what else are we supposed to say?

It's astonishing how cool and collected the Blues were on that 6 on 5. We looked SO LOST.

It really says something when you have 6 guys on 5 and you still can't get within 10 feet of the puck.

Completely dominated by an average team. Wow.............

Yeah, with his contract he needs to be much better.

I'm sure Columbus could beat us 5-2.

Also, at this rate we know who this year's scapegoats will be: Hartnell and Bryzgalov. I'll go add a few weights to the beating-club.

The goalie thing is a given though, what with this being a Philly team. It's become instinct.

These lines are idiotic and the shifts are too short.

Yeah Bryz hasn't been great. Anybody who wants to trade Bob isn't too bright. We should keep him almost specifically for THIS reason.

i know its early but i dont think anyone can be happy with how bryz has played. The silver lining is that its still early.

We have so many players this year who were suppose to pick up the slack who have been MIA. JVR im looking at you!

Also i think its time to split Jagr and roo.

I watched the game tonight, well most of it, I needed a break from having a spazz attack from watching my Habs.

Philly played a bit sloppy but honestly, Elliot was godly, he made some amazing saves, and if it wasn't for that Bryz/Coburn bumble, and if Elliot played average, it'd be a different outcome.

They need more practice and consistency and to shake up the lines. Everyone was lost tonight. This team needs to get its crap together by the first 20 games of the season. Also the young guys will probably run out of steam quicker as well so if theres even more of a dropoff it will be worrisome.

i concur. In the games he has played, Bob has been playing better than our new expensive leash around the organization's neck....

If Coburn didn't **** up twice (3rd and 4th goal), this would have been a whole nother ball game with that PP goal.

Blues played a better team game...but this team has only been playing together for 7 games give or take. And yeah I think Bryz needs to stop thinking about his cash.

It's a long season, a lot of new faces, the mental lapses will hopefully become less frequent. They need JVR to start coming to the games though, this dude he's been sending to the rink wearing his jersey looks lost.

Bryz has been a little disappointing and Hartnell doesn't really serve a purpose anymore, but the most disappointing player, bar-none, is JVR. We all wanted and almost expected him to breakout. He has not to say the least. At least if Jagr disappoints us we can say it's because he's 39.

Tonight wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. Elliott impressed and there was one odd miscommunication breakdown that led to a goal. Take that goal away and it's a 3-2 game which isn't too bad.
