Thinking the same thing. We actually had quite a few good chances and we missed the net on all of them.

Very classy, I can only imagine his coaching behind close doors. "Someone shot and ****ing score." HBO is going to have another moron to showcase.

Why should he care? The most effective NY coaches rarely do.

Torts speaks the truth. The Rangers did indeed suck tonight. Happy that Henke is ok, though... This team would be in the lottery without him.

The McD chance was haunting. Had he scored that, it might be a completely different game.

Christensen and Rupp each played around 6 minutes. Far superior to Avery though, right?

Anyone else disappointed with Dubinsky's play so far this season? Horrible decisions with the puck in the offensive zone. Shoot the puck low when the pass isn't there. Go for a goal or generate some rebounds. He has all the grace of Marmaduke, too. Looking pretty slow out there.

1. Poor puck movement from the D to the F
2. No sustained forecheck that generates chances
3. Too much perimeter play
4. No secondary scoring
5. Poor shooting accuracy especially from the D (hit the goalie!)
6. PP looks average at best
7. Injuries
8. Penalties

As far as the negatives go, all things that can be corrected with time - but man it can be irritating to watch sometimes.

Generally speaking this team is lacking another top 4 D (even with injured guys back) and a top line LW -- Can't wait to see if Wolski can contribute when he returns and Sauer and Staal should definitely help the puck movement from the D.

Dubinsky, Callahan, and Anisimov are ****ing invisible... I mean come on. They have fewer shots on goal in total than Gaborik (sans Callahans one 11 SOG game). It's ****ing pathetic.

We don't have a third line right now....

Ahh the Rangers, can never quite put it all together

Missing the net has been a perpetual issue for this team. Gabby's still the only sniper, nothing's changed on this team in term of shot accuracy. It doesn't help matters that this organization has been unable to draft a consistent 30 goal scorer.

i dont know why people still find this amusing. its completely childish and just embarrassing at this point. stop being a baby and answer questions. especially since its partly his fault the team sucked ass.

So I was thinking. Torts kept AA on the bench the whole 3rd period of a 1-0 and then 2-0 game and gave Newbury a lot of minutes. Maybe we could send down AA and get Mitchell up here. Need more jam in the lineup.

Missing the net and being a sniper are not directly related though. We're not asking you to pick the corner. Just put the damn puck on net at least and get a rebound or a tip.

what exactly can Torts say other than that? they sucked. everyone outside of like Henrik, Gabby and Prust were effing terrible. the effort level was pathetic. It starts with Cally, he needs to wake his ass up.

Right... because in 6 games, he's played a total of what 5 minutes a game? Not easy to generate anything when you play a couple 30 second shifts each period and get benched for large periods of time. Anyone thinking Avery or anyone else for that matter does anything notable with the amount of ice time EC is getting is absurd. I was all in favor of putting EC out in the 3rd. We needed offense and I don't care what anyone says, he isn't going to hurt our chance of scoring. He only increases it. Instead, down by 1 goal I watched Newbury playing regularly so we can just keep on grinding! Matter of fact, Anisimov was benched too! I guess that's because he was the only player on the pack line that can't truly be classified as a grinder. JOKE. So, down 1-0 to start the 3rd I believe and we play Gaborik-Richards and 7 grinders. Then we struggle to get 20 shots a game. Surprised? No.

Sorry but at this point, nothing can be blamed on a guy who might've played 5 minutes. I'll take EC out there down a goal way before I take Fedotenko, Newbury, Prust and possibly Boyle.

Torts has another impressive performance behind the bench... clearly.

Yes, we can never have enough grinders. So far, we've been absolutely terrible offensively and we can't even spell to "transition game", like usual. But the answer to that is obviously that we don't have enough grinders in the lineup.

Passing, who needs that? Need more grinders!

And even so, that is too much to ask for some players on this team. Players like Cally, Dubi, Del Zotto, etc. have been shooting high and wide on chances they should have buried for years now.

Second this. I've been saying it every game but for one reason or another, I feel like his speed is way down. Constantly looks like he's skating in mud... absolutely no acceleration. Don't know if he's playing hurt or just having a tough time getting the wheels going out of the gate this year, but I just get the feeling that if it keeps up, he may be looked at as the guy who signed a nice deal and is now coasting. I personally don't think that's the case, but the idiots at MSG have to boo our own players (because that clearly always helps) and it won't be Richards, Gaborik or Lundqvist so the only notable player left is Dubinsky.
