First, it has a BO option. Second, I paid it $850. Third, that's a rookie gamer. Those are worth more.
No reason to get defensive but
First, people see $900 for a jersey worn by a player who has scored 41 goals in 247 NHL games and they will hit the back button and keep looking, BO option or not.
Second, what you paid for it is irrelevant, especially since the Blue Line overcharges for their jerseys in the first place. In today's market you can expect to lose 50% of what you paid for it, especially if you bought it directly from the source, unless you are talking about star players and even their jerseys aren't "holding" their value. So, in this market you are actually trying to make $50 on a common player jersey?
Third, rookie gamers may be "worth more" for star players, not for common 3rd/4th liners.
Hey guys, how is the customization at the Wells Fargo Center?
If you are talking about the $200.00 pre-made ones a the '47 Brand store; they are sewn and the numbers appear to be the same dimensions as the on-ice ones... have not closely examined font nor letter dimensions, although they too seem spot on. They are the multi-layered type and appear to be of the same material as the on-ice ones. The van Riemsdyk is made correctly with the lower/upper case lettering he actually wears.
If you are talking about the Atrium shops that makes them while you wait; They are heat pressed multi-layered numbers and letters with name heat-pressed to name plate that is then heat pressed to back. I have not examined dimensions and they may be the slightly smaller ones that they used prior seasons for the FanGear Store... They cost a bit higher than the '47 Brand ready-made ones. In prior seasons the VAN Riemsdyk jerseys were only upper case lettering. I have had Captains letters heat pressed there and in one case the 'A' became detached immediately upon leaving the shop, they re-pressed and it has been fine since.
IMO if they have the player you want it is a no brainer to purchase it at he '47 Brand Store... If not, it is better to go to Voorhees SkaeZone if possible... especially if you can score a good deal on a blank jersey.
Thanks for the info Sawdalite. Can I order from Skate Zone online/on the phone, and how long do orders take? Also do I need to have a blank jersey ready?
No problem, LGF... I understand that they do take orders over the phone -- no website last I heard -- If you have a jersey you have to get it to them though... if not, they do sell both limited ready made (what's in stock) and blanks to customize... I believe it is around $70.00 to $80.00 IIRC for the customization (cheaper for blanks bought there I believe) and it normally takes a couple weeks, unless they are busy with higher volume work in which case it takes a bit longer. They send it out to the people who actually do the Flyers on-ice jerseys (Philly Express IIRC). I've had them do customization done there as, well as altering existing jerseys, with perfect results... and others who post in his thread also use them. I believe the full cost will be under the WFC's and the results should be superior.
You should probably call them for all the details (856-309-4400) You'll get the switchboard who will direct your call... They are not the best on answering calls when busy or out so I'd follow up if you have to leave a message... That's their only fault I've found in dealing with them; not a big concern though.
