Peter Chiarelli Will Speak To Media...

Hi, my wife follows the Bruins on Twitter and this is what she got a few minutes ago:

No practice for the #Bruins on Tuesday. GM Peter Chiarelli will speak to the media tomorrow via conference call at 6:00 pm.^BISH
10 minutes ago via web

LINK: http://twitter.com/#!/NHLBruins

Now, since I'm not current on this stuff please don't rip me to shreds if this is common but-----
Thoughts?

I wonder what he is going to say about Pouliot. Its obviously not working and we need more production out of that line.

Welcome to Boston Parise

In reality it will be something like the team has had a short summer, some of our players are not playing up to their standards, we will be fine in the long run ect.

Nothing to see here.

I just don't know. If it's about Pouliot or any other player if Tweeting 24 hours in advance if this is common, or is there a move coming up that he's laying the groundwork for?

This is very odd... and likely not good.

Apparently practice was going to be held, but was cancelled.

Think maybe Savvy's announcing his retirement? If the announcement is via conference call, it could be because Chia had to go out of the country.

This thread needs some James Murphy speculation.

I would probably break down in tears of joy tbh.

But really could there be a trade in the works? If so i'm sure we'll find out from Bobby Mac or Dreger well before the conference. Savard retiring is also an interesting thought.

Doubt it has anything to do with a trade. They wouldn't schedule a conference call 24hrs from now to announce a trade that's already happened.

At least a trade that's of any significance...

Maybe I am still in a bit of a stanley cup hangover, but i'm not worried. I've seen some good things from this team.

No trade, it is still to early and this team hasn't played awful, they have been in every game.

Savard retiring is a plausable explanation, I bet my money on that.

This is pretty strange...can't see why practice would be cancelled due to a trade or Savard announcing retirement. It must be something significant to warrant a cancellation of practice/press conference. Hold onto your hats.

I didn't even see the practice cancelled part. Cancelling practice to prevent injury for a trade? or am I looking too deep into things?

IMO they're just sending out 2 unconnected things in 1 tweet...there are a few days before next game, a day off wouldn't be precedent setting...
