Gus on the other end wasn't shabby either. I was afraid we'd get backup'd again.

Bob played great, but the last thing we need is a damn goalie controversy... get Bryz back in there with the pressure on, and he will perform.

  • Giacomo leads but...
  • Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still.
  • Afleet Alex is opening up with a tremendous burst of energy. He's five lengths in the lead.
  • A compelling outstanding performance by the plucky Afleet Alex. He won by six or seven lengths.

Tell Jagr to retire already ! Good game guys.. sucks we couldn't get the W for Gus on his birthday, he played great.

Bob made some great saves...dare I say he's been better than Bryz (I've watched a few Flyer games)

Wish that was the case.

Bryz will start the next few games. But if bob keeps playing like this, it may be a 52/30 split instead of a 62/20 split.

Shaky start, but a pretty solid win after all. I hope to hell that there's nothing too serious with Pronger though. Guys like Coburn and Meszaros stepped up in his absence, that was good to see. Coburn in particular had a good game.

Three stars would be Hartnell, Jagr and Bobrovsky, imo however. Hope this gets Jagr and Hartnell flying, no trade rumours for a week or so at least?

This was the first regular game I saw with Schenn in a Flyers uniform. I thought he looked pretty good, he can at least handle the physical aspects of the game.

I actually like Shelley and Walker in the lineup.
Shelley I could see a case for--not a great one, but a case.

Walker played 11:37 in a game in which we were reduced to 5 defensemen. If they don't feel comfortable having him out there for 15 minutes a night, then I'm not really sure I see the point in dressing him.

Lilja would have gotten the same treatment.

Does it really matter?

Better game tonight. Hartnell finally got a bit better. Still pains me to see Couts on the fourth line. Bob played excellent. If he keeps this up I'd say it's Bobs job to lose. (Not really since Snider will get Lavy to continually play Bryz)

Post-game WIP sports radio:

The Flyers are "optimistic" regarding Pronger.
