1. Habs - will enjoy their collapse this year
2. Leafs - don't mind the team now that the trade is complete, but dealing with their obnoxious fanbase the past couple of years was very annoying
3. Pitt - Cooke effect
4. Philly - not as unlikable with Richards and CarBomb gone, but Hartnell and Giroux's stupid comment are still aggravating
5. Vancouver/Colorado - Have had a dislike for Colorado ever since they stole Quebec's Stanley Cup. No team should win the Cup in their first year of existence

I think in order to truly hate a team you have to respect them to a degree. For instance, I don't mean this as an insult, but when the habs were like 12-0-0 vs boston at one point. I'd be like "meh, boston, who cares?". They became more competitive, they started winning games vs us and irregardless of how they did it, the rivalry is back, because you take them seriously. How many of you hate the habs, are enjoying the recent skid, but if it were first round of playoffs and you had to face us, you'd be scared? yada yada, people will say we dive. I've seen every team dive, including the bruins. So don't get too excited with that. In any case, I enjoy the rivalry, I may not like the bruins, but I can respect the fact they are a challenge. You have to hate your competition, but true hate comes from the notion that you hate them, but they are still in the game, still a tough opponent, or else, it's not true hate IMO.

Also, in reference to boston vs mtl playoffs. I remember last year there was a thread about it being over. I, a habs fan, said "it's not over" although the habs were ahead. So for a fanbase that's blinded by pride, I sure don't mention the number of cups we have or boast much. It's just a game, and I try to appreciate that people play the game differently.

On my list Boston is like #1 to 5, so seeing montreal used 2,3,4,5 times in one list, i can relate easily lol

4. Rangers
5. Tie - Pretty much any team located in a warm environment (except Dallas and Carolina)

1. Philly--Too much bad blood the last few years.
2. Montreal--Used to be up at the top, but most of my most hated players on their team have left. Now they are just annoying instead of infuriating. Probably because they aren't that good too...

<there is a space here...Philly and Montreal are far ahead of anyone else>

3. Carolina--For whatever reason I never can accept losing to the tropical depressions. I don't know why they exist. A couple good pieces and a lot of spare parts but some reason we always seem to struggle with them.
4. Vancouver--After last years playoffs. Was mostly indifferent prior to that.
5. Buffalo--Divers, the lot of them. Also...Kaleta is probably my least favorite human on earth. Also, it probably seems insubstantial, but I hate their uniforms. They are getting a little better the last year or two...but its been a long road of textbook definitions on how to make ugly logo's and uniforms along the way.

"Honorable" mention would be to the Devils...5-10 years ago (though Brodeur is still a dink...just now he's an old dink).

Hate:

1) Montreal
2) Pittsburgh - Mario is a bergina
3) Vancouver- A hate filled SCF will do that
4) Leafs- Kessel trade made the games interesting, love to see Komi fail
5) Washington- Hate everything about their style. From the new NHL uniforms, to the overly soft lineup which gets overrated every year.
Honorable mention: Tampa, if they weren't so disciplined I would hate them more.

No desire to watch
1) Florida
2) Thrashers/Jets
3) New Jersey
5) NYI
6) The western conference, less a few teams.

I love the rivalry .

I also like some of the posters on the Hab's board. You and Whitesnake come to mind. Someday I will get to the Bell Center for a game and maybe meet a couple of the HF Hab posters.

I am psyched about Thursday's game. The Garden gets so pumped when we play Montreal. It is best when the B's win
