PolkaDave is an amazing name. He should change it.

I also wanted to point out the silly title on TSN talking about Alfie's injury: Tragically Hip.

This is a reward for Dawg's great work on winning the Calder Cup.

Twice Agree..

We should be able to skate ok with Carolina.

Definitely agree with rather having him playing 65-70 games at 100% rather than 80 games at 65-70%. While he's gone might as well get something positive out of it as much as I hate to think about it, see how we look for life after Alfie with all the new changes that were made, who steps up in different ways etc, etc...

I wasn't trying to say it isn't something that could get worse, but he has said it is minor and his last hip flexor issue was three years ago so I don't suspect this is a chronic proble.

While age does factor into things, he is 38 not 68!!!!

Well. The team needs to learn how to play without Alfie and it is a good time of the year to see how they can handle this situation. I think it is a big test for Spezza, who is healthy right now, and we will see if he can be our future captain. He, obviously, improved his all around play last year when he came back from the injury and is more reliable now. Although, he produces well this year, he didn't show that he is a leader on this team yet.

Filatov should spend more time in Bingo and gain his confidence. Calling him back and forth won't do good for his development
