Yeah the pressure is on the Flyers at this point. Nobody expects the Habs to win again..

Emelin deserves the start over Gill (and that is if he starts on D, like he should).

Sad to see their 3rd and 4th lines probably compare favorably to our 1st and 2nd lines...
Why didn't we pick up Maxime Talbot btw?
because the flyers offered him ridiculous money. far beyond what he deserves

I'm going to the next two home game -- tonight's against Philly and Saturday's against Boston. I can't begin to express how totally psyched I was about this week when I originally got the tickets, and how totally psyched out I've become. I swear, right now going to the game almost feels like homework.

There's some indication of an attendance decline. We natives are getting restless.

$3,000,000 on a one year deal? He's getting close to a point per game? He's a steal. WTF are you talking about???

As someone who's been watching the Habs since the beginning of the 90s and who hasn't stopped ever since, watching the Habs hoist the cup in 93 and then everything falling apart, I was beginning to become more optimistic in the last 4-5 years. We finally have some good young players, a core to build around, surrounding them with good middle aged veterans who can help these players mature.

Now watching the beginning of the season, the only thing i'm thinking, the following clip describes perfectly:

Not sure i agree with that...$1.75M is right in line with what he deserves. Moen is getting $1.5M, and no one is complaining about that. They are both very good 4th line players, and as such are being paid to shutdown the opposition. Hits, blocked shots & PIM are the most important stats for these guys. Pts wise, they are expected to get 15-20pts any more than that and it's gravy.

Now if you look up their stats, they both do this effectively and warrant their salary.

The fact that Moen is leading this team in pts...well that's just sad.

yeah you're right, i was confusing him with someone else. it's 1,750,000 for 5 years. im guessing the years were the major sticking point for gm's. i don't remember exactly shero's quote but it was something to that effect.

6-2 Philadelphia. Price out of the nets and destroys everything on his way to the locker room.

Does he give Martin the look like Roy gave to Tremblay?

Hopefully Emelin plays. Jagr might not like that though.

Need Emelin in the lineup to lower the boom on Jagr like he did at the WC

Assuming of course he's allowed to

then we win back to back games vs Boston. The Martin firewagon disappears and we become cup contenders again. Also a vortex swallows Gomez into a parralel dimension but somehow nobody notices.

We have Hal Gill, Jagr always said he was the defenceman he had the hardest time against

I still remember the Jagr thread where everyone said the guy was washed up and that we shouldn't sign him

Now I'm annoyed PG didn't get it done, the dude is playing very well thus far.

not many people were against the idea of bringing in Jagr, don't know the everyone but I remember most liking the idea especially after the WC which he played great with Pleks. Instead Gauthier preferred to give Cole 4 years

Nope. It would be quite sad to see him get his 100th win somewhere else. He'll just be really pissed.
That or he gets injured during the game by Hartnell, who gets pushed and falls on Price's leg.

Staal is playing like crap without Cole. Maybe we can send him back to Carolina.

And I was one of the main guys with jags6868 and someone else that wanted Jagr in Montreal. Sad we got Eric Cole instead.

Although today could quite possibly result in another loss for Montreal, I'm intrigued to watch the re-vamped Flyers and their youngsters play. Should be a fast-paced game today.

Simmonds - 2
Meszaros - 2
Giroux - 1
Read - 1

Eller - 1
Moen - 1

It's simple. Price needs to steal a game. Only way the Habs win this one.

How can we win with this as our first line PP?

Darche-DD-Cole
Diaz-Weber
