I can't find him listed playing hockey anywhere at the moment but the Central Hockey League season at least hasn't started yet so he may turn up at some point.

I thin Sebastian Owuya makes his debut with the ECHL's Stockton Thunder tonight, the Jets still hold his rights IIRC.

According to the Colorado Eagles' twitter, Akim Aliu will make his debut in tonight's home opener.

Nothing regarding Carrozzi. It looks like the Eagles currently have three other goalies on their roster, Garman, Jones and Penner.

Looks like Owuya has been a healthy scratch in each of the Thunder's first four games. So I guess you could add him to your list OP, but it is merely a formality as he is done as a prospect most likely.

I had thought that the Jets lost his right's since he's signed a pro contract in the ECHL without ever receiving a qualifying offer, but it appears I was wrong about that. I'll add him back into the tables, also there are a few european players that will never come over but the Jets still hold the rights to, so I might add those guys in too just for interests sake.

There isn't much information out there concerning Ivan Telegin's status with the Colts. He hasn't played a game with them since the Petes game on October 1.

I emailed the Barrie Colts beat writer for the Barrie Examiner and got the following response.

Quote:
Hi AndersUlfBobby*,

I'm Stephen, one of the beat writers covering the Colts. Telegin's been out for a few weeks with a lower body injury. I saw him in street clothes at Saturday night's game and he's moving around all right, so he ought to be back soon. The Colts staff has been somewhat cryptic, just calling it game-to-game at this point. With Scheifele coming back too, they're not necessarily going to rush Telegin back either.

Hope this helps.

-Stephen
Hopefully Ivan it back in the line-up soon.

* name changed to protect the innocent.

Recently returned to Barrie Colts star Mark Scheifele will play for OHL team against Russia in Ottawa (Nov. 10) + the Soo (Nov. 14).

Nice to see that he's still going to get into games like these despite missing OHL time, obviously you would expect him to be there considering he was playing in the NHL but it's still good to have it confirmed.

Noticed Adam Lowry is off to a very nice start and is top 20 in scoring in the WHL with 16 points in 13 games and 43 PIM's! Looks like Vause and Gorden are lighting it up from Swift Current as well.

What has the take been on Adam guys?

Jets CHL Prospects Report for Wednesday, October 26

Barrie Colts 3 Belleville Bulls 5
http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/s...how/game/58754

Ivan Telegin, BAR; not dressed, still on IR
Mark Scheifele, BAR; G-0, A-2, Plus/Minus +1, PIM-0; Mark assists on Barrie's second and third goals

Austen Brassard, BEL; G-1, A-2, Plus/Minus +1, PIM-0; Austen scores the Bulls first goal, then assists on their next two

http://www.barriecolts.com/article/b...ve-colts-three

Quote:
Austen Brassard appreciated the compliment but deferred to his teammates after the Belleville Bulls defeated the Barrie Colts 5-3 Wednesday night at Yardmen Arena.

In a game that featured many subplots — including a pair of Winnipeg Jet draft picks going head-to-head — Brassard was simply happy to contribute with a goal and two assists that earned him first-star honours and the better of his fellow Winnipeg prospect, 2011 first-rounder Mark Scheifele of the Colts.

"Scheifele's a really good player and I was just trying to work really hard tonight," Brassard said. "It was more of a team thing for us, rather than me or him. It was nice to get the two points."

Brassard earned all of his points in the first period with Bulls leading 3-2 after 20 minutes. The teams were tied 3-3 after the second stanza, setting the stage for Gaunce's go-ahead goal in the final frame.

The sophomore centre one-timed a rebound past Barrie netminder Clint Windsor with Judson drawing the assist.

Belleville Bull Brendan Gaunce said Brassard won the battle of the Jet picks.

"Austen played really well," Gaunce said. "This was Scheifele's first game back from the NHL and he wanted to prove something. But so did Austen. He was a later pick than Scheifele, but he might've been a steal for Winnipeg."

Chartrand, who made 26 saves for the win in his ninth straight start for Belleville, was happy to beat his former team.

"It's always a good feeling, but the two points are the most important thing," he said. "I don't think it was my strongest game, but I felt I made some big saves at the right time."

As for Scheifele, Chartrand said his former teammate was a dangerous presence on every shift.

"He's a good guy and a hell of a hockey player," Chartrand said. "He played well and you seemed to notice him whenever he was on the ice. We gave Austen our player-of-the-game award and he had a hell of a game, too.

"I thought he outplayed the other Jet on the ice tonight."

Quote:
Brassard Lifts Bulls to 5-3 Win over Colts
In Mark Scheifele's much anticipated return to the Ontario Hockey League on Wednesday night, it was another Winnipeg Jets prospect that took control, putting the Belleville Bulls over the top enroute to a 5-3 win. Austen Brassard, the Jets' fifth round pick this past June put forth his best effort of the season, scoring once while adding two assists.

With the Bulls outnumbering young Colts defender Aaron Ekblad off the rush, netminder Clint Windsor wasn't able to smother Payerl's initial shot as Brassard jumped on the rebound to give Belleville the lead at 1:33.

On the next shift, Beyers was unable to clear the zone along the half wall, leading to Brassard outmuscling Reid McNeill down low and centering for Sandlak who swatted a rolling puck over the shoulder of Windsor at 2:13.

Austen Brassard, who was the game's first star, was all smiles following the big win. "I've really enjoyed playing on this line with Payerl and Sandy (Sandlak), the three of us all have big frames and we can win battles down low. Tonight was a big win for our team, we avoided a three point game against a team in our conference that will definately challenge us later on this season."

Kendall McFaull, MJ; Kendall not dressed, misses his third consecutive game.

I haven't been able to see any of his games this year, but I'd have to agree the stats look very promising. He currently leads the WHL in penalty minutes I believe and projecting out his stats puts him in line with players like Ryan Callahan or Cal Clutterbuck on the higher end. (different Junior leagues, I know, but still) There have been many, obviously, with similar stat lines who haven't amounted to anything at the NHL level but the combination of Lowry's size, willingness to get into the dirty area's / stick up for his team mates judging by his PIM's and fighting majors, and apparent scoring abilities make him seem like a very low risk pick in the third round. He's a smart kid too, was the WHL's scholastic player of the year last year so he's definitely got a good head on his shoulders.

The WHL doesn't announce their rosters for the Canada-Russia super series until tomorrow but you'd have to think with how he's played up to now he'll get into at least one of the games for the WHL team.

--

Found an article from Boston University here with a little bit of info on Yasin Cisse who still has yet to get into a game this season with the team. He seemed like a bit of an interesting prospect but his injury troubles over the past couple years have really derailed things for him, still, hope he gets back into some games soon.

And apparently he also tipped in one of the goals as The Scouting Report said here in that Scheifele vs Couturier thread. Apparently he also played extremely well and looks much better and stronger than last year.

great update thanks Rheged

he does sound like a solid third round pick.....Adam is chipping in for his team in allot of ways this year. I look forward to following his progress and he seems like a high character kid with solid intangibles. His traits sound a bit like a kid I liked allot from my era when i lived in Saskatchewan and that was Mark Janssens who was the captain for the Regina Pats back in the day and he was a 4th round draft pick.

Not totally sure what I love best about that Belleville vs Barrie game, Scheifele's immediate impact with two assists or Austen Brassard's big three point game.

Both Brassard and Lowry have been showing a very good amount of offensive spark thus far this season.

He was also named second star of the game despite the team's loss -- Brassard was first! I am tickled pink with pride.

If there was a positive note for the Bulls on Friday, it was Austen Brassard's goal at 17:24 on the powerplay, ending Altshuller's shutout bid and snapping and 0 for 12 skid on the man advantage. Brassard capitalized on the hard work of linemate Scott Simmonds off the faceoff, collecting a scrambly goal in the goalmouth.

Adam Lowry, who assisted on all three Bronco goals, admitted getting into the win column two nights in a row is an important confidence booster for the club.

“Tonight was huge. It’s our first back-to-back wins of the season. I know we’ve been consistently having one good game, and then a couple of letdowns,” Lowry said.

“I think being able to secure four points out of the six so far is huge for us.”

The Broncos entered the game with the league’s second best powerplay, operating at 31.3 per cent over their first 14 games, and Lowry said they were certainly feeling confident on the man advantage against the Tigers.

“I just think we’re just moving the puck and putting it on net, especially with our powerplay. We got away from that for a couple of games. Tonight we were going to the net. Scarlett had a great shot on the first one, and then it was a pretty good play on the second one for Gordon to score. I think that’s when we’re the best is when we’re just moving the puck effectively and shooting it on net.”
