Press Conference at 7, before the game
Howdy folks,
Wasn't sure if it was already mentioned that PG will be holding a PC at 7, just prior to the game.
I was wondering if there would be anyone who wouldn't mind jotting down the highlights of the conference in this thread for those of us that won't be there to listen?
Thanks a lot

I wouldn't be too surprised if it was just to brush over the details of Pearn's canning.

Haha that's rich. Very plausible actually. The Randys are the sole 2 new assistants, Pearn gets promoted after 2 years and we show the media/fans that we ARE doing something about the horrible results. ****ing brilliant!

The wishful thinker in me is hoping for Martin to be gone before the game.

And who would coach? They'll lower Roy from the rafters with a huge puff of smoke and cheerleaders dansing?

Well, it's highly unlikely.
Not gonna happen.

Then again, Pearn getting fired this late in the day despite taking part in the morning skate would've been viewed as unlikely too...

It's to say that he has traded our 1st round pick to Calgary for Rene Bourque. He adds size and offense to our team. Hopefully he will get our team back on track...NOT.

If Hartley is even hired, I will join the tank wagon and the fire Hartley bandwagon all in the same day.

The Habs can't really be calling a PC to announce the firing of an assistant coach can they?

They've already announced it via a press release.

Anyone else find this firing a little insulting to the fans?
Change is one thing. Scapegoating Pearn as the issue for our teams shortcomings is not the answer.
Sure, he may not be any kirk muller - but he isn't the one calling all the shots.

So the PC must be about something else then.. Just watch it be a vote of confidence to his buddy JM and that he won't be fired..

Agreed. It's an anti-move.
