Btw, it's not like this is a new thing... Lilja has been terrible all season and has been responsible for several goals against.

Matt Walker outplays him in every way / shape / form
.
what? examples, please.

I love dominating a period and then giving up the typing goal with less than 3 seconds left!

The Habs were in punching bag mode for the first 20 minutes, and they got to the locker room with a 1-1 tie.

Positioning can sometimes make up for that.

Bob has been screened and yet he seems to still make that save at times.

we're level right now, but I really don't have that "oh **** they're gonna fold" feeling I think we can start getting some more chances in the back of the net, and bury these guys

Not worried. Flyers outplayed them pretty much all period. But penalties are killers, obviously. It's funny, Lilja made 2 good plays on that shift and I was thinking maybe he finally has turned his game around, and then BOOM! Penalty.

Timonen has to do a better job getting that puck out of the zone. If there is one thing I can say about this Flyers team, it's their inability at times to get it out of their zone.

Geez, not like noone here saw that coming in the last pp in the last minute of play. Thats what happens when you don't bury your scoring chances early on. Should have been up at least 3 goals. Teams do it to us all the time when we are sloppy, but we can never be the killer.

Let's just play like we did the first 19 minutes, and we should be fine.

Watch the routine lacklustre 2nd period, and about 15 Montreal shots. Bryzgalov had better be ready to be much busier.

lilja kept the play alive in the offensive zone right before taking that penalty.

not his fault the o turned it over.

saying matt walker outplays lilja at every facet of the game is ridiculous.

you're giving walker an absurd amount of credit for that goal. lilja took a questionable penalty. so what? matt walker knows quite a bit about that.

I seriously can't believe that we don't have some guys on the Phantoms that aren't better than Lilja and/or Walker.

There was about the same time left in the last game of the 1987 playoffs when Larry Robinson scored and that gave Montreal a lead. Flyers recovered. Have to forget about it and focus on positive energy.

It actually is closer then you think. Lilja has ****** balance. Can't stay on his skates and can get himself out of position worse then Matt Walker.

Too bad we couldn't keep them scoreless through the period. Timonen and Meszaros both had opportunities to clear the zone there.

Pretty solid period otherwise. Couturier continues to impress on the pk. Read is flying out there and is playing with so much confidence. The puck really follows him around atm. Hartnell continues with his good play from the past game, did a good job on the first pp and then that pass to Carle on Jagr's goal. Strange that he has to fall down, even when he makes a good play, though. Very nice puck movement on that goal.

The defense looks fairly solid so far. Lilja could perhaps have avoided that penalty, but Cole did a good job creating it. Carle has made a few risky moves, but so far they've worked out, and he had that great pass to Jagr. Walker hasn't made much noise, which is a good thing.
