Well.
That was a terrible period...with a funny and lucky result.

I have had enough of Gill.
The guy is finished.
Like I said Monday, he plays like a really slow Rivet .

Yeah, how many goals did Erik Cole score on the PP last year? One more than Darche did.

Me too. I used to think he'd be better than Subban (I was watching the OHL frequently).. got reemed here for it. Thought after awhile that maybe they were right, lol. But he's playing amazing so far this year.

fact that its 1 1 after a period like that is crazy...

hopefully they wake up in the second a little bit..

i doubt philly will be coming hard like that all game

things change period by period so hopefully the habs can turn this around with that goal....

Surely we looked like an AHL team this period.....but it makes up for the Buffalo game....so far. So we need to steal the next 2 periods as well. Will be tough though for sure.

I don't want to blame Eller for the turnover when he tried to pass to Gill, but if you are in front of your own net and your options are to:

1) Pass to Hal Gill
2) Shoot/pass back to your goalie's glove

I think I lean to #2. If you score its Youtube epic. If you don't its a whistle at least. And either way you don't have to cringe as Gill inevitably bobbles the puck right back to the other team.

Diaz wasn't good on that shift. Neither was Gill or Moen. Eller was fine, got put in a bad position. Gionta was fine too, I think.

The only way they can make me a believer again with the coaches and players we have now is to win 4 of the next 6 games. That would be a start. Otherwise, a win tonight might just be a short term relief for PG/JM.

Kostitsyn needs to play waaaay more.

Plekanec needs to get back playing center on PPs. We have powerful slapshots in Weber and Subban, we need to setup these shots on the PP. I really don't understand the strategy (or lack of) on the powerplay.

It seems ****ing obvious

Am I the only one who heard Gill call for that puck when Eller had it?

Comparing Cole on the PP last year with this year is stupid anyway, his big frame wasn't as big of an asset to Hurricanes as it is to us. Because we lack in that department him on PP crashing the net becomes a lot more important than it was to CAR

I do too.

Unfortunately for us, he has ''young player who ends up getting traded'' written all over him.

I hope the Habs hold on to him.

Cole had one more point on the PP last year than Darche. Cole also played 222 minutes to Darche's 80 minutes.

Well there was a lot of bad in that period, but besides the obvious positive of the last second goal by Weber, I also thought Subban was quietly very good that period. Seemed to win almost all of his board battles and generally got the puck to someone who had time to do something with it.

I want to write that the Habs will surprise us and win this game and the next 2 versus Boston but I don't want to feel let down
