I dont see how people are still defending Bryz... I had him as my Vezina winner at the beginning of the year but im coming to my senses. I watched the buff/tampa game last night and saw freaking Mattieu Garon make some ridiculously impossible saves all game while tampa's defense was playing worse than ours right now. He even stoned Vanek on the breakway twice and hes a backup scrub supposedly...

JVR is a total bust.. what a ****ing waste of money, and what a horrible call by the management to re-sign a guy who had one fluky playoff series.

Don't forget about the terrible turnover Briere had right infront of his own goal... this has been pathetic

This Ole chat is well deserved!
They would have been booed so hard here in Philadelphia for the performance like that.

NHL might be rethinking winter classic match up.

couturier may be smart and know how to use his leverage but man does he look slow out there. Schenn really doesn't show me anything either.

Did you not see how out of position Bryz was? What was he doing so far out of the crease against the man on the side? The defense **** the bed too, yes. But that doesn't excuse Bryz, when you're being paid as an elite goaltender you have to make some of these saves he has let in.

I think you're misunderstanding the problem. How many of these goals have been Bryz getting beaten clearly on a shot he can see? They are all deflections and tap-ins around the net.

Its easier for an NHL goalie to stop a breakaway than it is to stop a slap show that bounces off three guys on its way to the net.

Anyone else feel like this isn't the group of talent that is going to succeed under Laviolette's system? Too many young guys that are undisciplined and make too many rookie mistakes.

I want to watch all the goals again but I don't recall any of them being on Bryz. It's not his fault his guys turn the puck over constantly, and leave wide open bodies around the net all the time. Call it a bad bounce if you want, but if you have a body on a body, they don't matter.

Yup. Well said.

And the team traded away 2 proven players based on that "one fluky playoff series".

Turnover by Briere.

Meszaros just standing there.

Bryz out of position.

There is more than one player to blame on the last goal, including Meszaros and Briere.
