The only player you could say played a good game was Jagr.

Everyone else sucked.

I don't buy it. Look at this game--its really NOT the young guys who are making mistakes. Its a combination of our star players (Timonen, Briere) and veteran NHL players (Walker, Lilja, Carle).

i AGREE ABOUT COUTS being slow, but i like his skill set...Shenn as not been very impressive, and JVR just cannot get any consistency going ....I would like to see that Harry Z again for a few games.

Well that sucked. Price gets his 100th against us. That kinda stings.

Better have a better team effort tomorrow. Winnipeg aren't that bad.

Agree.

Can't win faceoffs. It isn't just the centers. The wingers don't battle for possession of the puck and our defense just seems to always not be in position.

Let's face the cold hard truth... this team is miles is going to be fighting for its playoff life. I'd actually be very surprised if they sneak in for the 8th seed. Probably the most uninspired hockey game I have seen them play since early last year or maybe even the year before.

I haven't read anything leading up to this because I'm still watching the 3rd. It's the 3rd period for me, right after the 4th goal. I have to vent. While I would REALLY love to see Bryz live up to expectations and actually be able to cover for the team's mistakes, I would love even more if the team could give him any damned help at all there. What the damned hell was that!? That was completely terrible defensive coverage, they left him alone with 2 Habs. To start the whole thing off, Mez deflected a puck with his hand instead of letting it through to Bryz...who had his glove waiting to stop the shot.

STUPID. UGH. ARGH.

Back to the game. I hope I see 3 Flyers goals soon.

Schenn has not impressed me at all. I'm willing to give him some more games before i really start gauging where he is at.

Should have had at least 4 goals by the midpoint of the game.

Just an absolute train wreck in our own end.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in that dressing room after that total and complete disaster.....I am sure Lavy is going ballistic right about now.....Montreal deserved the victory, i hope they enjoy it tonight.

Im not talking about the Breakaways alone. Garon was in an almost exact same situation on the 5th goal and saved it. I couldnt believe how well he played. There was a period of like 5 minutes where he stopped 17 shots and most of them were high percentage in the slot. Blame the defense all you want but a lot of these goals would have been stopped by other goalies.

well we could have Vokoun much cheaper than Bryz and if i remember correctly, Tomas Kaberle had hard time getting contract, imho very solid defenceman. Sorry for naming only czech players
