True, he didn't suffer early on last year. He had about 18 points in the first 25 games. But he did suffer from Gomezisyourcenter-itis afterwards.

He's the one that told Subban to shoot, so Subban can't take credit for the play...

JM out coached Laviolette tonight, he finds the good line combos by putting DD, CAMMY And Cole together, and Eller,AK,Moen anyway he mixed up a lot but always maintained good fore checking combinations to exploit on their D playing extra minutes becoz of Pronger absence. If u love him or hate him, U gotta give credits when its due, it was hard day for him, a lot of pressure and he used his experience to his advantage and took the win.

First game in a long time where I was able to forget our injury list. In fact the lack of Gomez completely slipped my mind tonight.

Honestly, I think the last few games prove that we should bury him, he's useless.

We have a good team, repeat... we have a good team. With a young core of Pacioretty, Subban, Price, Desharnais, Eller, Kostitsyn, Plekanec - this is something to be excited about so its nice to see a win tonight so the vultures ( mostly media )at least stay away for at least a couple more games.

Please lets stop this talk of blowing it up, trading everything for anything, firing everyone etc. If at worse the Habs finish at the bottom this year, they still have excellent pieces + a potential franchise player like we haven't had for a very long time through the draft in 2012.

Good to see everyone happy tonight but if things don't work out in the next few games, lets not turn on the team in a way that players like Price, Subban etc won't want to sign here and lets look at the bigger picture.

Go Habs Go

PS Great game by the Habs... keep it up.

How did Philly's defense looked without Pronger??

I wonder how ours would look without Markov...

Blunden has 8 hits in 2 games putting him 8th on the team.

Gill is the first player to reach double digits for hits and blocked shots.

Eller has 7 gp, 7 hits and 7 blocked shots to lead forwards in sb.

Gorges, Gill and Diaz have 20+ blocked shots each. After them, Weber is 4th with 9.

Cole continues to lead the habs in hits with 23.

Nokelainen (60%) and Plekanec ( 54.7) continue to give the habs faceoff advantage which they need. Gomez (53.8%) was also adding to that before his injury.

Habs have 3 players with 30, or more shots. Pacioretty has 39, Plekanec and Subban have 30 each.

Agree. I still want JM gone, so our team can be even better. And didn't miss Gomez tonight. Finally I think maybe now we won, at some point Gill could be occasionally sat eg when there are back-to-back games? For the team, to give Emelin a chance. Gill has a role but doesn't need to play so much.

lol on Antichambre Stock just forgot JM's name...

Last year Lavi had the forward depth to roll three strong lines and JM not so much.

This year, thanks to Holmgren spazzing out, Lavi doesn`t have the depth, and JM does.

I see it more as the Habs outplaying the Flyers badly after the 1st and they couldn't match the Habs play in the 2nd and 3rd periods.. The Flyers played like crap because the Habs made them look that way in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Pacioretty is going to be a great goal scorer on this team for a LONG time.

The 2nd and 3rd periods were an awesome effort, this is how the team can play! This is what they're capable of. Loved it! Congratulations to Carey Price on win number 100 in his career as well! Well deserved! There's going to be many more to come his way.

I really love the Moen, Eller and Kostitsyn line. They never had a bad game together, even last year.
