The "Erik Cole is ****ing awesome" Thread
I dedicate this thread to Erik Cole, otherwise known as "the missing piece".
PIcked up his jersey a few months back, he's making me proud right now.
Discuss, rave, and rant about Cole's swag here.
Oh and his beard: epic.

He just needs to drive the net and his job is done. No more Cammy - Pleky - Gionta lines pls. One big body per line to make the space. Seems Cole and Pacioretty like doing it.

Could've easily had 2 or 3 goals in the last 2 games (not including his PP goal). It's only a matter of time until his rushes end up in the back of the net.

Definitely my favourite player on the ice tonight... So so good. Too bad there wasn't much to show for it on the scoresheet.

He did draw 2 penalties, was a +1, had an assist, and had Cammy connected on the 3-on-1, could've had another.

Nice to see Cole making use of his speed. Beautiful when he breezed around that dman (can't remember which one) and drove to the net. That is exactly what we need from this guy.

He did the small things that really made a difference. Pretty nice, before the Cammalleri goal I was mentioning how good DD/Cole/Cammalleri (CD/DC?) line looked.

I was at the game so I didn't have replays... but I was sure he would've gotten an assist on the first goal. I thought he got the puck to Desharnais.
He was drawing penalties like a champ.

I was at Bell center tonight.
He made Carle look bad twice.
Draw two penalties.
I felt he didnt play enought.

He needs at least 15 min

I've used the following quote before, but it just always seems to be relevant:

Patience from fans or medias in Montreal is simply asking too much.
This is a veteran player that's really only been part of one organization (only one year in EDM, and it didn't work), God forbid it takes him a few games to get going.
He's been improving every game. Good on him.
He's also just 2 hits away from being part of the top 10 hitters in the NHL.
Still think he should be playing more.

When Cole hits someone, it really looks like it hurts. Like, rib-crushing hurts. Dude is solid. He doesn't really go for the big blow up hits, but those don't usually hurt that much anyway.

Seems like a pissed off Cole, is a productive one. Any ideas on how we can keep him pissed off for the rest of the season?
