I heard they flew Eric Staal in from Carolina just to have him jump on Markov's back. All engines are go!

PG says: Markov was having 2 a day draining workouts in Florida. No structural damage. Strengthening muscle groups round knee.

I'm sure this was reported, but #Habs Gauthier also said Markov could be back on ice as early as next week

It would be sweet if he was back in a month and he had no further knee issues.

People really need to start specifying if things like "on the ice" mean with the team or by himself.

I thought I understood taht he had been skating on his own since camp started after a late August setback. He was going to see Dr.Andrews to get full clearance for contact and full practise.

Seems that the theory that nothing was all that wrong, they were just being extra cautious with an essential asset is gaining credence.

so when Markov comes back who sits?
I pick Spacek or a 4th line winger and go with 7 D.

If we beat the bruins thursday night we will be ahead of them in points.

Things don't look as bad all of a sudden.

Draining in Markov's case has two meanings.

Draining and knee injuries are not a good thing, especially if they are part of a workout . I'm hoping this is a typo

No, keep Spacek in, he has been solid, and he has much needed experience. Let Diaz sit.

If it was up to me, Diaz and Gill would sit, with Markov and Emelin in.
