The LA Kings are VERY happy to add these players and feel it was best for their organization to do so. We feel we now have one of the best prospect pools in the entire league.

WELCOME TUUKKA RASK TO LONG ISLAND!




The Islanders have finally completed a trade with the Boston Bruins that sends Tuukka Rask, Shawn Thornton, and a 2nd rd pick in 2012 to New York, in return the Bruins get Kyle Okposo, PA Parenteau, and Al Montoya.

GM HockeyRulez had this to say: 'We are extremely excited to have acquired Tuukka. He's a tremendous goalkeeper and will provide stability at the position for many years to come. Shawn Thornton is a guy I like a lot. He has a lot of character and is a physical presence on the ice, he'll definitely help out our young guys. We also like the 2nd rd pick we got, this year's draft is very deep and we're excited to add another draft pick. We wish Kyle, PA, and Al all the best in their future endeavors."

We were able to move Mike Richards a couple of days ago for the very talented defenseman but we feel that we need help at center and forward moving forward more than a puck-mover as we have Johnson, Doughty and Voynov ready to go and all under 23.



We feel Sean's ceiling is incredibly high and we feel VERY confident moving forward with our young forwards:

Paajarvi
Huberdeau
Couturier
Laktionov
Clifford
Shore



Our 2nd deal:

Andrew Ladd
Blake Wheeler

Tyler Toffoli
Simon Gagne
Derek Forbort
Calgary 2nd '12

We were very high on both Toffoli and Forbort but with the acquisitions of Klefbom on defense and all of the young talent (Ladd, Wheeler, Paajarvi, Huberdeau, Couturier, Shore) we added so far, we felt we could move both of them to add both size and skill to our wings to help develop our team into a very big and difficult team to play against.



We feel that with Ladd on the LW and Brown on the RW of Kopitar, it will form a VERY formidable 1st line that is both difficult to play against and play the game the way we want to play moving forward.



We feel Blake is the ideal 2nd line winger for our team. He is an exceptional PKer and has playoff experience and we feel his size will help us moving forward. He will most likely play with one of our VERY talented young centers.

I offered the deal and you said "yeah ill do that". I sent it in to the commissioners but did not announce it because I figured I would hear back from them first (I did not so I decided it must have been okay'd) so I announced it.
