Lol... and they said it was Subban refusing Marchand.
The hypocrisy of Boston Bruins fans. They call Subban a "*****" for not fighting when one of their own admits in an interview he didn't want to fight. It's just funny.
Then they were cheering him like he's a God in a fight that he landed no punches in.

He fought a midget, not like he went after Thornton. Let's calm down here.
Fighting is a big part of bruins culture and its something that their fans and media have been accustomed to since the old days.
I dont really care who did what, my main concern was that marchand traded off with subban for 9 minutes of penalties, and that was just a bad trade-off for the habs, given that they need all the d-men they can get these days.
It almost bit the habs in the end, because gorges got called for holding while subban was in the box, so you knew they would be very green on the PK from the defensive end. Fortunately, they got out of it and won the game.
That whole display between Marchant and Subban last night was borderline embarrassing if you ask me. Side-show distraction at best.
I cracked up when they both got delay of game penalties when they tried to go the 2nd time. I thought that would shame them into giving it a rest, but lo and behold, as soon as they were out of the box...
Nothing like delaying a game 10 minutes so two guys can hug one another.

This pretty much word for word. It was embarrassing but then again had Marchand just dropped the gloves the first time... immature of PK to repeatedly pursue it and get minor penalties repeatedly though.

Good point, and agreed. Subban should not be fighting. I am not blaming him or anything. I just don't think he needs to reduce himself to that level. Who cares if people get on his case about not answering the bell? What does he have to answer for?
They fought, it was funny, and dare I say PK even earned a bit of respect last night from a lot of Bruins fans for actually going, and for his candid and humorous post game comments.
Two young guys who can't fight got a little carried away and ended up acting stupid for a few minutes, then putting on a hilariously inept show of pugilism.
Disregarding the pair of coincidental penalties and the hilarity of the fight, I think it was a fairly honourable showing by both guys. Both guys squared up, took their visors off and nobody took liberties while it was being broken up.
It wasn't the smartest chain of events for two useful players to get into, but it was all in good fun and nobody got hurt. I don't see any reason to hate on Marchand based on this.

Subban is a 25+ minute a night defenceman, he shouldn't be fighting but thanks to idiots like Don Cherry he now feels like he has to fight in order to earn some respect back.
I don't understand what your point is? Guys turn down opportunities to fight all the time, even the toughest guys in the league.
Marchand clearly wasn't afraid of PK, despite giving up a lot of size.
It happened. It was pretty funny. It's over.
Not sure why in the world you'd call Bruins fans out over that.
This isn't about Marchand being afraid of Subban so much that some B's fans seemed to think Subban was avoiding a fight with Marchand at the beginning.
Whatever, they both fought, it was horrible, but now they can't say either guy won't fight. Hopefully thats the last time Subban fights for a while, he sucks at it and hes to valuable to our team.

Some habs fans suffer from small guy syndrome, don't take it seriously.
I'm not sure what was so out of line by Marchand's comments tbh. He didn't want to fight the first time around, or the 2nd, but i think he showed it wasn't from being timid, I thought March had acted like a bit of a *****, which led to the whole thing though.
