Usually don't do that bad at faceoffs or run around that much on the PK.

And Jones was tripping over himself all night. More than usual, I mean. I'd like to see Paajarvi on that line in his place.
That's a great solution. Give him somebody to play with jeez.. the one shift he was in on that line after the Smyth penalty, he was ALIVE

Great Game to watch. This is just craziness

Winning at sports is largely about mental fortitude. Oilers have it. I don't care about the nay-sayers. I should have bought seasons instead of a minipack.

He's got to keep his arms down a bit but I love Andy Sutton beating the hell out of guys out there. You can tell he's having fun right now. He's making people pay in front of our net too.

Sutton and Barker may not be great but at least they've got enough experience to play the game. Don't mind them as the 5-6 at all.

Everyone's buying in, just giving it. As a team. That's been a long time coming around here.

I hope we're working on empty netters and shootout goals. Got to get better at those if we're going to keep the Ws coming.

1980-something. I was still riding a bike to school and trying to decide who was my favorite Solid Gold dancer.

LOL!!! I'll guarantee Cullens put's us top 15. No promises beyond that tho. Probably Toronto rank 3, Oilers rank 12. That sounds about right

I'll worry about all those shots against if it's still happening on a regular basis in LA and beyond.

This team has played 8 games in 13 nights, and the Vancouver and Washington games were tough as hell. I expect them to be a little tired.

But until the Vancouver game, we were at worst evening up on the shot clock and Goaltending didn't have to steal us games, it just helped us win.

Yeah, the face-off percentage dropping is a concern. I don't think that it's all on Nugent-Hopkins either; Horcoff's been losing his fair share.

I'm not too worried. 4 games in 3 nights, Nucks, Caps & Avs, we win all 3! Basically... eat it every team in the league, come at us, we're the Oilers, beat us if you can *****es.

You could tell the whole team was tired tonight. I think this had alot to do with F/O and the kid line not being up to par.

Funny to think how long the streak would be if we didn't choke leads to Calgary and Minnesota.

Nice to see Sutton throwing his weight around as well.

Wonder if he'll get anything for that hit on Lando.

Nice to see a regulation win against a division rival with our first line getting shut out.

Craig Button's opinion is that he's going to get suspended for that hit.

Baseball sucks. The only time I ever look at anything to do with baseball is maybe every year or two I look to see who won the World Series on a sports site. (No idea why, but I get curious every year or so) I look it up on ESPN or wherever just to see who the champs are for that year... that's how easily I can ignore the whole sport. I'm not even joking.

Hockey is a whole other story but baseball = boredom.

The Kids weren't lights out tonight, but everyone else picked it up, I was very impressed with Petrell, his confidence grows every game. Dubnyk was great, I mean, just great to see from the Oilers, 6 wins before November, outstanding.

The only reason I brought it up is because I flipped to sportsnet connected after the game ended to re-watch some Oilers highlights, and all they were talking about was baseball! WHO CARES!!! Yawn...

I do. I grew up believing that was the norm and I couldn't imagine anything different, at that time. I think we're in the same age bracket. Didn't you see the world like that growing up.

When Gretzky was King of the Hill in Edmonton, the NHL never held such a large portion of the North American sports market. Gretzky, or another Oiler were always on the cover of every sports mag there was in existence.

Then there was that Warren Moon fellow that visited my elementary school and I shook his hand and asked him how much money he made.
