I'd find it pretty funny if we went on such a winning streak we took hold of 1st. People would probably for once not start planning the parade after that terrible start LOL.

Then the leafs coincidentally bomb to last place and Wilson gets fired

If we win tonight our rec is close to being good again.

Maybe, they gonna want to do the same tonight. I am sure Cam Neely is breathing down their neck to win that one at any cost.
It might have had more to do with our hottest player breaking his neck then the Bruins pulling away.

Anyway, I agree with the guy who said playing hard and tough whistle to whistle is fine, but when the play stops and these guys are constantly throwing punches at other players while linesmen/refs are in between is something that needs to be looked at from the league.

Also, is it weird that I'd be more worried about this team coming out and having a strong first period but not taking the lead as opposed to the sleepy first they've had the past two games?

I really feel bad for Habs fans across the country.

Originally, the CBC was supposed to show the game to Atlantic Canada and BC.

Now, only Quebec as the Leafs are being shown nationally against the Crosbyless Penguins.

Spacek is currently on his left-handed game. There are times where Spacegoat is off his game but this is not one of them.

Don't forget: outside of Ontario the Leafs are hated quite a bit. But what would an average hockey fan would likely want to see, Habs-Bruins or Leafs-Pens?

Habs will need to be better than last game to take this one. Its time to clean up the defensive end. There's way too many needless turnovers leading to grade A scoring chances. I have seen some improvements in other aspects of the habs game but the only reason these defensive zone turnovers aren't stinging as of late is due to the play of Carey Price.

You dont want to fall behind to this team again. I'm sure Julien is boiling after blowing a lead last game, so he'll have his team in ultra lockdown tonight.

Get the first goal, and clean up the stupid defensive zone turnovers, and the habs should do well.

Come on. Not Gill nor Spacek. Emelin is not the solution.

I feel bad for Emelin, he has played great, but none of the defensemen played badly enough to be replaced, aside from Gill who will all know, won't bench.

#Habs new division of coaching labour is Ladouceur handles PK, Cunneyworth does PP. Pearn oversaw both before he was fired.

Huge game tonight, a win gets us closer to a PO spot and keeps the Bruins at the bottom of the conference.

2-0 Habs

Man, I thought Subban was hogging down attention, but to have a coach entirely focused on you? He must really been a troublemaker recently..

On a less comedic note, and on a more serious one, I do hope the Habs will retaliate properly if the Bruins keep trying to run Subban. The best attitude to have in that case is **** to Tats: we should take runs and deliberately try to injure Seguin.

As for those appaled by this proposition, I have to remind you a bit of history. Last season, during the 1st Playoff game, the Bruins got the 1st Power Play of the match, of the serie. During that Power Play, the Bs were passing very often to Chara, who would simply throw cannonballs into the crowds, causing great deal of pain to our players. On a single shift, I've seen 2 Habs players collapsing momentarily because of the pain. Chara packs them strong.

Well, when it came on our time on the PP, I've seen Wiznewski taking shots at the Bs player too, and 2 Bruins player went to the ice rather quickly. Wiz may not be as strong as Chara, but his slapshots are not something to laugh about.

After this Habs powerplay, there was a bit of a discussion (a real one, not an after-whistle scrum) between a few players of both teams on the ice. And I think they agree to stop this kind of behavior.

That's the only way you deal with this kind of behavior: you do it back to them until they realize they have too much to lose. Eye for Eye. Slapshot for Slapshot. Subban for Seguin.
