Once we get to February they start saying "Don't worry. Stay the course. We'll be better next season."

Another 30+ minute game for Girardi, but this time, he seemed to feel it in the 3rd period. You can't ride one defensemen for half the game over and over again. He's a phenomenal D, but he's not a machine. Also, if Erixon is only going to play for ~8 minutes a game, he needs to be sent down and replaced with someone who can go AT LEAST 15 minutes. If that player isn't in the system, then they need to go out and trade for one.

Good game from Callahan, Dubinsky, Sauer, Richards, Gaborik, and Del Zotto. Average game from Henrik, Girardi, McD and Stepan.

Everyone else was ****.

And I don't know about anyone else, but my patience with Dubinsky is at an all time low. Zero.

No, but 9 games with no goals is horrendous for him. He really needs to do something.

I just hope this doesn't result in a crazy line juggle. But it probably will.

Is it too much to ask for some offensive pressure? We are pinned in our own zone so damn much it's become almost funny. Like a clown dying.

Wolski cost this team the win. That penalty completely turned all the momentum around.

Agreed.

I think at this point, Christensen > Wolski.

I don't even get mad anymore.. Totally saw it coming. At this juncture I can only wish for a major trade or some guys from the AHL getting a chance.

Scapegoat.

The Rangers wouldnt even have been in this game without a gift major call against Konopka.

They got severely outplayed (again). If you want to scapegoat a player and ignore nearly everything else that happened in this game, thats your perogative, but good teams would've overcome that.

WPGNYRfan, I'll make a bet with you right now that the Rangers finish the season with a much better record than the Jets.

Same.

If they lose out this homestand...I could see some major changes come about.

1. Brad Richards
2. Marian Gaborik
3. Michael Del Zotto

I actually didn't think the team played that bad, but they played STUPID at the end of the game. They looked awesome in overtime, and for most of the 2nd + the beginning of the third, but you aren't going to win against a hungry young team playing a 30 minute effort.

I went ahead, and Tortalized the lines for next game:

Prust-Gaborik-Wolski
Newbury-Richards-Callahan
Boyle-Rupp-Anisimov
Stepan-Dubinsky-Christensen
Fedotenko

Woywitka-Eminger
Sauer-Girardi
Del Zotto-Erixon
McDonagh

Looks like something he would ice

NOTE: I didn't pick this, I randomized the order of our players

Agreed. While Wolski's penalty may have hurt the team by changing the momentum, Torts hurt it by not calming the team down with a timeout. Callahan, Richards, Girardi and Dubinsky hurt it by not responding to that change in momentum. "Momentum" is not an irresistible force. When it changes, good teams find a way to change it back.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I think this is why we really need an "energy" line. We don't really have a line that can be counted on to just go out there and show 100% balls to the wall effort on every shift.

LOL this is the 9th straight game where 3rd and 4th liners are being looked at to guide the team to victory.
