Avs lose sorely here, and Ottawa will not have the cap room for Tanguay.

I can't see Ottawa making any deals right now because they look good enough as it is. I also wouldn't do it from Ottawa's perspective. While usually I don't like quantity for quality, in this case I think the values of Vermette and Bochenski are fairly high individually, and while Tanguay might be better than either, the difference isn't great enough to give up both guys.

Ha what the hell do the Senators need Tanguay for to begin with? Are you guys not scoring enough goals?

Sens don't need Tanguay, as good as he is, and the Avs won't trade him because he is that good.

Also, I don't see the Sens moving Vermette. We're in worse shape at center than left wing and Vermette is finally developing as a centerman with Schaefer and Havlat on his wings.

Havlat for Tanguay would be more likely.

At this point, the Senators aren't even changing their underwear for fear of putting an end to a good thing.

Roster moves? Maybe if they start slumping... but even then, I think they will tweak, not consider anything major.

Beyond that, I don't think Colorado trades Tanguay.

Tanguay plays C too! He was moved to the LW from C, I believe!

And no, there is no reason for the Avs to do that! Lacroix would lose all credibility for making a deal like that when Tanguay is easily one of our top three forwards! The value isn't even there!

It's a dumb move for both sides.

Case closed.

prettymuch what i was thinking...

i don't know enough about Vermette or Bochenski to shoot this idea down, but losing Tanguay hurts Colorado now and in the future, so why bother?

Ottawa is doing great, why would they make a trade when everything works so well? They should just keep going..

Personally, i would not touch this deal. Tanguay = Avalanche future. (at least for next 2 years )
