Well all it means at this point is that he's missing at least 1 game. Lets try not to panic.

Its awesome to hear he went down with the right attitude. Very refreshing after the Nikulin's of the world soured the mouths of GM's like Murray.

Every player is different, the only thing Filatov and Nilulin have in common is their country of birth.

I hate that it's under these circumstances with Alfie being injured, but I am so so happy that Filatov's gonna get another chance. I really think he can do a lot for this team. His play reminds me a lot of Vermette for some reason

Kk mentioned he thought they'd lose a forward with alfie gone, but said, "I just hope its the right guy"
Think he was thinking of filatov here, ski?

Unfortunately, in the NHL thats the only thing they need to have in common to have a red flag placed on them.

Kids going to be jacked finally getting the call back up to otown....for the Battle of Ontario to boot.
Tomorrow's line up:
Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Da Costa-Filatov
Daugavins-Smith-Neil
Winny-Konopka-Condra
D stays the same, Lehner starts

Everyone else has said it so well, but it bears repeating. Filatov up is not only well deserved, but overdue. Hope he proves his work ethic. At the same time, the fact that it came at the expense of Alfie sours this callup a bit. Hope the captain recovers quickly and not at Filatov's expense.

Likely line, yes, but does this scream 'soft' to anyone else?

That means Filatov on the right wing ... ugh he looks better on the left.
Surprised they called him up, I thought they'd just put Butler in.

good for filatov. Guess this means butler's groin is still bothering him, otherwise it's a huge kick in the pants for him.

Maybe they are not taking any chances with a konopka suspension even though 5 % he is suspended

Skill wins.
I'm exited to see him up again, even if it's not permanent. Da Costa and Filatov were never really tried together during camp/preseason, but it's a combo I've wanted them to see.
edit - cool (?), 5000 posts.

This team keeps getting younger.
At some point we may need to hire a babysitter.

@allenpanzeriAllen Panzeri
Nikita Filatov is apparently on his way to Ottawa because Daniel Alfredsson will be unable to play against the Leafs,
Captain down for tomorrow.
