I also heard that when either Eller or DD gets to play against stronger opposition like Gomez did, they will crash and burn. I certainly did not see that in the last 3 games.
We shall see. I don't call Prongerless Flyers or the current Bruins team to be top opposition. One team let 14 goals in 2 nights, the other is dead last of the conference.

Basically a free timeout, pretty good move imo considering he was being pulled for an extra skater anyway.
Eller had a couple of strong shifts (the goal, obviously) but also screwed up royally on that 2nd period giveaway that resulted in a goal, plus he took a dumb penalty in the 3rd. A talented work in progress.
Cole is getting stronger and more focused.
Plekanec has the best hockey mind on the team. Practically never makes a mistake and practically never gets off the ice, it seems.

Yeah that does make more sense. Pretty smart. Had Bruins tied it, Julien would have looked even more intelligent.. but then again his post game sore-loser attitude ruins any credibility I have for him.
I'm Carey Price's biggest fan but he didnt deserve the first star tonight. He almost shat the bed with that late goal... maybe a 3rd, but there was players more deserving (or at least as much) tonight such as Plekanec, Kostitsyn, Cole and Gorges!

That's what voting by the fans does. On a ordinary night, Price gets the first star lol. I'm also one of his biggest fans.. but the fans voting is just a popularity contest.

Yes, he whined all game and all.....but he said in his interview at the end of the game to a question regarding PK "antics" (or something like that) that Boston had Marchand last year, who was getting under people's skin and if it's what Subban did today, well he did a good job. That's it is his players that needs to not fall into this. Julien, with the tons of pressure he has, could have bashed PK and did great at not doing it. Compared to some Bruins fans.
Probably another reason for them to not like Julien.....

We got Moore for a 2nd rounder. We got Nokelainen for Trotter and a 7th. Sorry but who trashed that trade again? And yes, at one point, you cannot say that a guy fits PERFECTLY a team and you end up not signing him especially when it's not like he's asking for the world. So, SO FAR, as I expected THIS TIME, Nokelainen is a great addition. And if he continues this way, let's hope he's in the plans for the future. But let's wait shall we?

I'd rather give the injured players and the merely bruised ones time to recuperate and to practice. Let the Bruins play on while they're in their present condition.
Think about it! Six points out of a possible six against the Bruins and Flyers while yielding only four goals total. Never mind who else is up, some of the pretenders will fall back.
