Seriously. Is there no justice.

Johnson had an average game and ends up a -3

Doughty plays horrific and is a +1...

He's playing catch-up. He'll be better in 2-3 weeks.
Good to keep this in perspective. He is literally 3-4 weeks behind every other player.

Tough night for Jack Johnson. 2 of the 3 goals when he was on the ice were just bad breaks.

I'm sure the usual panic monkeys will freak out over the loss but the Kings played a great game tonight and just didn't get the bounces. Smith was great. I can't name a single King player who had a bad game. Next.

ot summed up their games nicely. Doughty just gives Doan a grade A scoring opportunity, and Quick makes a sick save to keep it out. JJ plays his man perfectly and an unlucky bounce ends up in the net

Maybe defensively because you simply can't ask for a better defensive scoring dman but when the puck goes the way the rest of the team just spectates. He doesn't really look to set up his teammates and shoots when there is nothing there, often causin the puck to immediately go the other way.

I should say that he's the type of guy that deserves to have things run through him but like the knock on Gonchar over his career he'd rather make an amazing goal than give the team a higher percentage play. I wasn't trying to be scathing.

And Johnson was on the ice doing his job and got a -1.

Might as well play DD and JJ together during 5-on-5. Either DD gets his fair share of surprising minuses so JJ isn't painted as the only guy with bad luck, or they break the curse that makes JJ so unlucky with DD in the lineup. Can't hurt.

But for real. DD is rusty and all but...bring back Slava!

I just finished the game and had to give Parse props. He played great tonight (minus the penalty). He looks awesome on the second line, and has gotten that line going. I think he should stay there as long as they click.

I think Penner was keeping the 1st line down. Once Kopi played with another line, he scored. I'm not normally a Penner basher, but he just seemed to rub off on them. Williams sucked and Kopi as well until his goal.

I love Richards.

Quick played good. Crap way to send it.

Drew sucked tonight, but I expected it. He was trying too much and making mistakes all over. Did he make one good play?

I roughly parallel it to the old Vanek Roy scenario in Buffalo.

Both fantastic players in their own right...when Roy has gone down with injury Vanek goes beast mode. But when Roy would come back and play, Vaneks play would dip, and so would his minutes.

As a Buffalo fan myself also...good to see they have sorted it out.

I don't know about Doughty and Johnson...it just seems like whenever Doughty is the alpha dog Johnson gets victimized.

the Parse-Richards-Brown line is looking promising. would be nice to be able to drop Penner to the 3rd to give Stoll a bit of support

Doughty was crap along with Parse. Moving on...

I don't know what most of you are watching in Parse.

I love them both actually. It's just mind-boggling how well JJ plays with DD out of the lineup and how terrible his luck is with DD in it. It's nuts.

Also I think JJ should stop overpassing to DD during the PP, because so far DD looks horrible and can't do anything with the puck. He needs to keep his confidence going and run the PP like he's the main guy. Until DD figures things out at least.

Parse had a GREAT game. We obviously weren't watching the same player/game. He gave energy to that line tonight. The only thing he did bad was take that penalty toward the end of the game. I think this was Parse's best game. I'd like to see him stay in the lineup.

Parse? Really?

Aside from his penalties..which my god...he has to cut down on..he was a hound for the puck tonight.

Seriously..we all know the guy can play..it's just a question of when he wants to. If he plays the game like he did tonight all year i'll be okay with that.

Guy comes off IR, hasn't played in two weeks, OF COURSE he's going to be rusty. I expect guys to play horrible their first few games back from injury, anything else is largely a fluke IMO.

But I did say Doughty and Johnson shouldn't be a defensive pairing and that was supported quite well here.

At this point it's looking like were pretty fortunate to have Penner and Stoll's contracts end after this season

Yea I am more concerned about the play of Stoll then Doughty. His faceoffs are still just above 50, which is solod...but everything else looks...I dunno..ineffective.
