Friedman on HNIC just said that Filatov hasn't officially been called up yet.

I'm glad Filatov is back up, but without Regin, Alfie and Butler we're basically missing an entire legit second line. It's going to be tough tomorrow.

Regin and Butler are far from being legit 2nd liners.

So I guess that means, Butler is still hurting? ...

Someone is, its possible a finger was jammed or something from anyone of our players though, too early to call if it was Butler.

Small possibility a trade will occur, doubtful though

Curious to know, if Ottawa were to make a trade, which player would everyone most likely see brought in?

I'd like to see what Doan would look like in a Sens uniform. OFC have to get him to waive to come here.

If it was a trade it would most likely be a body out hence the reason for a Filatov call up. And if we were to bring in someone(realistically) I would love to see Rene Bourque

He's kinda old (in relative terms) for a rebuilding team.

Even with how well we've done lately, I'd much rather bring in a buy-low young forward that has tons of potential but for whatever reason didn't work out with their team.

Filatov was a perfect example.

Don't know how Filatov is not concussed after last night. Hope we dont' get a Crosby outcome...(injured player refusing to sit out gets worse injury).

I can see something like Butler and B. Lee going to Phoenix for K. Turris. This makes a lot of sense for both teams as none of these players are playing at the moment and all probably deserve to be playing. This would be the ideal second line center for Ottawa.

Nice! I dont expect a whole lot though since this will be a heated game. I think we will see something great from Filatov next game.

Nikulin and moreso Zubov were good soldiers who spent quite a bit of time in Bingo, even when it was becoming clear that big, gritty guys were first and foremost on Murray's mind after the Anaheim loss. The problem wasn't those two guys, it was the other half dozen guys that Ottawa invested heavily in during the 2002-07 drafts who never came over.

Foligno is big and gritty.

DaCosta will **** you up if you call him soft... and really, he doesn't look soft. He looks like he's eventually going to piss a lot of players off with his tenacity.

The only thing I'm worried about with Niki is his health right now..after taking that cheapshot to the head a few nights ago, but damn...he sure did show a lot of heart coming back from it.

Here's hoping Nikita Filatov pulls off a huge troll job on the Leafs tonight.

Only the second line is "soft" but even then, they still aren't all that soft. Foligno will stand up for himself.

This is an incredible opportunity for Filatov early in his Ottawa career. If he can slot into Alfie's spot on the 2nd line for a couple of games, contribute and the team not miss a beat, could go a long way for his confidence and the teams confidence in him.
