We're totally gonna win this game. 4-3 Avs in OT.

Brad Richardson scores three for the Kings. The Avs get goals from Kobasew, Mcleod and Lindstrom with the OT winner going in off O'byrne's ass, Koci style.

Can we please for the love of god put Duchy on Staz's wing? I'd also have no problem seeing what Lindstrom could do with two guys like O'Reilly who should seemingly be able to use him if he gets himself open. Winnik is great with them, but we need a shakeup to try and exit this funk.

Duchy - Staz - Hejduk
Lando - O'Reilly - Jones/Lindstrom
Winnik - Galiardi/McClement - Jones/Lindstrom
McLeod - McClement/Porter - Kobasew

It's sad how much depth we had that feels to be slipping away with each game.

Wonder if we could play 7 defense and put Barrie/Elliott out there for 10-12 minutes a game.

Most likely Varlamov. He only played one game since the last Giguere game.

Stastny double-shifts every time we use 7 defenders.

Stastny and O'Reilly do, we'd also only be replacing the 12th forward who tends to play less than 8 mins per game.

It's not something bad to consider, our defense is good but we could use a bit of speed on the backend, even if it is Hunwick for a game to try out. Just someone who will carry the puck from end-end and isn't name Johnson.

I hope Galiardi have a great game. Seems to be the only way not to be demoted next game.

Is it confirmed that TJ is back in tonight? I've checked Avs Blog and Dater's Twitter, but nothing posted about any lineup changes tonight yet. Got some info?

Score! TJ will be on Stastny's line! FINALLY out of the bottom 6. Reason for my excitement? Duchene will more than likely be playing with Jones (a "capable" winger!). Alright, bring tonight's game on.

Cheers. I like it.

So...

Galiardi - Stastny - Hejduk
Lindstrom - Duchene - Jones
Landeskog - O'Reilly - Winnik
McCleod - McClement - Kobasew

It's about the best we could hope for right now. I'll take it, really like the look of those top 3 lines. Ideally, Mueller in for Lindstrom and it looks really good.

Finally, I hope TJ shows Sacco he's been wrong keeping him in his dog house.

Muuuuuch better. I do not want to hurl something in the general direction of my computer reading those lines. And knowing that Yip will be available in a week or so gives up a bit more leeway with the lines. Granted, it is not much leeway, but it is better than none.

HOWEVER, the Avalanche do need to address their wing-depth (lack thereof) desperately. Whether it be now, by the trade deadline, or via free agency, that is the top concern.

Its good that he changed the lines and all, but he did it against a team that the Avs get easily shut down against. Hope Gali has a really good game and sticks with Stastny though.

Good point. While the goals may not come, what we'll be looking for is some signs of chemistry; cycling down low, good defensive coverage, support along the boards. We need to give this set of lines continuity.

Good decision to put Galiardi with Stastny but I still find it hilarious. Sacco's moves make no sense. Galiardi goes from 4th line, to healthy scratch, to the top line.

Hopefully Galiardi has a good game.

I would put Landeskog on top lines already. He plays a type of game that i wouldn't worry about losing the chemistry he has with O'Reilly. Landeskog plays a grinding type game, he shoots the puck every chance he gets, and goes to the net hard, he will produce no matter who he plays with. Bump this guy up to top two lines.

Make a Galiardi-O'Reilly-Winnik 3rd line.

Edit: Put Landeskog with Duchene, and maybe Duchene will start producing. O'Reilly and Winnik will be ok without Landeskog as well, they are both hard working players, and with Galiardi on their line instead of Landeskog they'll still produce, maybe not as much, but they'll still be a good 3rd line.

I'd like to see O'Brien sit down for Hunwick. Our defense lacks speed/play-makers and the big, physical d-man seems redundant for us.

Edit: Hunwick looked solid in camp as well, give him a shot
