Maybe the BJ's should find a goalie instead of trading their best player for garbage packages. To be honest I don't think we even have what it takes to land him if a trade were possible.
This is the kind of trade I was referring to in the other thread. About the Rangers not making any significant trade. The kind of trade that would call for them to part with some big pieces.
all i know is something has to give we have hank for a little while longer if things aren't looking up i could see him moving on to a bonafide* contender so wether its let the year play out and get another big name during FA or a trade somethings going to eventually have to give
the only way other teams get a crack at Nash is if he requests a trade. otherwise they have no reason to trade him. he re-upped with columbus, with a NTC, even though they were in the ******* and have been his entire career save 1 4 and out playoff run. he's aware of his plight and probably won't be requesting a trade anytime soon, so columbus knows they wont have to trade him if they don't want to short of a full rebuild, and even then probably not. And the trade for Carter pushed any sort of urgency for a full rebuild back at least a few years.
If anything, I would say Carter would be traded before Nash. No doubt he's looking at whats going on right now and he's not happy. His best friend is in sunny LA on a cup contending team. his old team is doing much better than the one he's on now. Now hes in columbus with a 1-9-1 team. granted, he's been injured most of the time, but he can't be happy. I could see him requesting a trade by the end of the season, but even then Howson won't relent, at least not for awhile.
tl/dr:
1. Nash knows what he got himself into
2. Carter would be traded before Nash
3. Carter won't be traded for awhile

I am perfectly fine with trading him as long as he gets wins and the Rangers get people who can play hockey.
