Rangers always surprise us with a big win against a good team after a crappy performance against so so teams……

Post Game thread…. Torts is a genius, who do we want in the first round…..

Here’s to a Boyle V Boyle fight

Just for the hell of it, I'm putting Avery and Deveaux on my fantasy team..

You know both will come out blazing and fight fire with fire....

I say Avery has a 0+1 game and Deveaux has a 1+1 game..

10th game of the season, is this the one we'll finally see a full 60 minute effort in?

We're gonna get destroyed.

If we lose 4-1 or less it will be a victory for us.

too many negative nancys around here!

lets go rangers!!

I suppose Torts is looking to double shift Gabby again with a AA and EC on the 4th...wise move imo. Gaborik is hot right now, we need him on the ice as much as possible

I don't like Boyle's line being our 3rd line but Anisimov has to step up his play to make a case for himself.

If the first two lines remain as they are, then I hope eventually MZA forces his way back to NY to make a 3rd line with Avery (or Feds) and Anisimov and Boyle's line is our 4th.

I don't like the looks of this game. I'll remain a bit confident, but I honestly don't see them pulling this one out.

4-1 SJ

Not sure I get that. The Sharks are a very good team. A lot of firepower, and they've been killer on the road so far. I like Marty and all, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with Lundqvist in net.

Then again, perhaps Johnny Cakes hopes this will spark his languishing troops to step it up a notch with the backup in goal.

Biron is a hit-or-miss goaltender. For the most part, he either plays great or terrible, which is actually exactly what you want from a backup goaltender.

If they're going to play him, might as well be against western conference teams.

Del Zotto on the second pair really scares me. He had some horrendous plays in the Ottawa game... IMO he played worse then Erixon.

If we win, its because our offense allows us to by scoring to make up for lack of defense.

If we win, its a 5-4 win or something.

If we lose its a 4-1 loss.

I can't remember a time feeling less confident in the post lock out period. (taking into account Staal's injury, lack of shots, lack of goals, and in ability to hold a significant lead.)

Biron needs to play 16-18 games. He has played 1 in the first 9. On pace for 8 starts. Lundqvist is working with Allaire in practice today. He has not looked good the last 2 games. A little practice and rest doesn't hurt. Rangers are off until Thursday.

Starting Biron may actually force the team to play defense, something they forgot to do on Saturday.

How bout a little effort tonight?!

Even if they lose, some effort would go a long way towards changing my opinion of them (which is that they think now that BR is here, Gabby looks good and Hank is still a God they don't have to work their ***** off anymore).

It seems like they play harder overall when Biron is in net.

I'm hoping that for Halloween, the Washington Capitals dress up as the New York Rangers!

It would be scarier (for Caps fans) if the Rangers dressed up as the Caps.

The Rangers will win and give us hope, only to be blown out by whoever they play next.

3-2 win, Richards, Gaborik, Anisimov.
