It is pretty funny to hear Joe call someone soft! This is the player who has constantly disappeared in the playoffs year after year and having the little Joe become the more important Joe on the team.

Honestly though Thornton just comes off kinda tacky there. If I'm a Sharks fan I wanna hear my captain say we sucked and need to be better rather than belittle the team that just mauled us.

POTG: Callahan
The Good: Callahan
The Bad: CALLAHAN (as in bad ass!!)
The Redden: San Jose, trying to stop Callahan.

Oh, and Thorton? That "softest road team in hockey just kicked your team's a**". Suck my balls, Joe.

When you never had a lead in a game, no you should not have won...

btw. Their coach looks like George Lopez.

It's easy to see why San Jose always disappoints in the playoffs.

I can't believe McLellan made Thornton captain. An atrocious leader who takes potshots at other teams after a loss instead of giving them credit. He should really receive a lot of flack for what he said.

He said the Rangers were the softest team that they played on their road trip, and that it was a game that they should have won.

to be fair that is the first time i have heard jumbo say anything like that about another team after we lost a game... normally he is pretty generic odd i am curious what question they asked him...

and he was great for us in the playoffs last season and true it is super disappointing we only play once this year...

If we are soft, what are they? Non-existant?

This is a riot. Joe Thornton sure knows soft. In the dictionary under soft is his picture. No wonder he has never won anything.

Hmm. That might have played a factor into him saying it too.

If the Rangers were in the West or a division opponent, I don't think he says that.

Punk'ish...
