he got hurt in the hartford game...should have an update in him today i will pass it along
anton is now healthy and get worked back into the lineup...they have been going with Olesky as the 6 dman he is more rugged and a bit of a fighter. I was told Anton will get back in soon
Wow nice come back win today against the whale 4-3 OT win.
nice shirt haan-job
anyone see the game? curious how Nino looked.
glad to see Cizikas starting to play well. Happening faster than I thought it would. He's the type of player to be involved in big plays when the game is tight.
I hope we get to see Cizikas and Ullstrom at some point this year.
I'm already tired of Rolston and Pandolfo (although Pandolfo's been "okay")

Why was there a game today at 11am? I don't follow the AHL like the NHL for sure, but I've never heard of that before - Even on a weekend, much less Monday-Friday.

How many people were there? 10?
I might be wrong but I think they do something like this yearly for the local schools to bring kids in?

A lot of the AHL teams do this. They have all the elementary school kids come in as a field trip. They do it twice a year. One year they were playing the Wilkes Barre Penguins and although this is billed as a "cool school" game and "for the kids" there was a fight in warmups and escalated to a full scale brawl later in the game. Quite funny if you ask me.
Well, having hit the crossboard would indicate that Niederreiter actually got his shot off.
Okposo tends to drag and pull so long that every Dman and his mother gets their stick in the way before the shot is fully released.
And THAT's one of my biggest gripes about Okposo.
The toe drag move is just a symptom of Okposo's overall style of play, which is a finesse player in open ice rather than the power forward we had hoped for. He still plays more the power forward along the walls, but the power part is not so much as it should/could be.
He has to stop the cute puck dangling plays out in open ice, go straight ahead.
I'm encouraged by Nino's 2 Xbars in his pro debut, although adrenaline tends to run high in these kinds of games. His release is super quick, slick hand skills. If he can improve his acceleration (much like JT), he will give himself a better chance to reach his potential. The 5-6 games in Bridge should be a good guage as to whether he is ready. However, I only want him staying with the big club b/c he makes them better, and not b/c he treads water.
KO's shied away from his quick release AND one-timers. He had that vintage knee-drop one timer from the slot, maybe he needs to watch some video.

Yep, spot on. I'd actually like to see KO use a shorter stick so he can still dangle but protect the puck better & keep it closer to his body. Might even help get his shot off quicker.
With regaurds to El Nino, I have been very unimpressed so far. He does have a quick shot and plays in all 3 zones but I am expecting more grit, better grinding along the boards and more offensive opportunities created especially with his size. I hope he is just getting reacclimated with the game and he craks it up this weekend.
