I think both would be ideal players on the team. I'd be more than willing to trade Dubinsky and others for them. Ennis is just really skilled and would look great with Richards and Gaborik. Sekera helps out defensively and we get another PMD.

Yeah well, so tell me how it makes things any worse??? Also, just a matter of time before our defense starts falling apart...Girardi is already looking gassed, Eminger's a -7..As pointed out elsewhere, Dubinsky just makes the most sense when it comes to making a trade for help on the blueline. No way we miss Anisimov AT ALL, don't think it would take long to forget Dubinsky either, trade him now while the return value's decent. But hey, just my opinion, you know what they say about those..

This really should be a sticky. otherwise it's going to get lost in the sauce, people will continue to make proposals outside of this thread and the whole thing will have been for naught.
To me Shane Doan is exactly what would make this team a cup contender this year. He would fit perfectly on the line with Richards and Gabby and he is great on the PP. Not to mention Rangers fans would love him.
With the Phoenix Rangers connection, I think it's possible. I don't think Phoenix is going to be able to contend in their division this season. Which means they could be sellers this upcoming deadline.
To be honest, I don't see Phoenix trading their captian, unless we overpayed greatly. But who knows, Sather has pulled off some stunning trades over his career.
What do you think it would take to get him? Only a 4.5 mil cap hit.
I think somewhere along the lines of MZA, a 1st and 2nd rounder could do it.

Really? Please explain how a 35 year old rental is worth more than a 1st and 2nd round pick + MZA. The 1st and 2nd round pick is enough and I wouldn't even want to do it because this year's draft is going to be so strong. Please explain it.
