Very close, but I take Kesler. There aren't many 40 goal scoring Selke winner out there.

Holy smokes. So many ways to make fun of you for this. Instead of killing you I am just going to assume you don't know what "on par" means.

I'm curious what makes you believe Richards play has dipped. for what it's worth, I completely disagree.

Wrong, wrong, wong. His vision is very elite, one of his best assets. Everytime I get a another team's feed, at least once or twice a game they say, "that was a great play, not sure if he meant to do that or not". By the end of the game, they are praising him. At least 2-3 times a game, one of his linemates will mess up a wide open chance because they didn't expect a pass only a few in the league could make.

Offensively..... Giroux > Kesler > Richards

Defensively..... Kesler > Richards >> Giroux

As for rating which player is better overall.....that depends a lot on how much weight you give shutdown/defensive abilities and how much weight you give offense. I think overall it's between Kesler and Giroux, with Richards third (but not a distant third).

To the argument that Kesler led his team to the finals. Richards and Giroux were probably the 2 most important players behind briere and pronger that led the flyers to the finals.

Kesler
Richards
Giroux

If Giroux can keep up his pace for the whole season then
Giroux
Kesler
Richards

but until then toews 2.0 is the worst of the 3

He had 76 points last year with less playin time and less PP time...and 12 points in 11 games in playoffs. And the year before, he had 21 points in 23 games in the playoffs. It's not about a pace or something. He's been dominant for a while now, he just has a bit more points this year cause he doesn't split PP time and playing time with Carter and Richards, and a year older.

Giroux was actually 1st for forwards in PP TOI last season. He is 2nd this season just behind Jagr. The difference is he has had almost a minute more PP time per game because they have obviously been on the PP more in this young season.

I think you've gotta have some serious hate on to not go for Kesler. He's one of the leagues top defensive forwards and he can pot 40 goals.

A same argument can be said about the other 2 players. I could say: You've gotta have some serious hate on to not go for Giroux. The guy is clearly the best of the 3 offensively, while still bein pretty good defensively. In fact, your statement was like sayin kesler is in a class of his own, which couldn't be more wrong cuz you have 3 of the best forwards in the game in Giroux, Kesler and Richards. How can we have some serious hate for not choosing kesler? He's no Crosby dude. You can choose him, but it's VERY close.

I will bet my life that Kesler never scores 40 again. Plus 30% of his goals(or points) came from the pp with the Sedins (it was a stat posted by a user on here. Don't flame me if wrong)

Okay, then 70% of his goals (or points) came while playing with a rotating cast of 2nd/3rd line tweeners. You also make it sound like the Sedins are the reason Kesler scored so many goals. There's a reason the Canucks 1st unit PP was nearly unstoppable last season. Kesler was moved to it. He's great at deflecting the puck and has a deadly wrist shot from the boards.

40 goals is 40 goals no matter how you look at it.

Starting with the 2010 playoffs, Giroux has 124 points in 127 games.

Yeah, it isn't a coinciding his goal totals sky rocketed playing on the same power play with back to back art ross championships . Like I said I am pretty confident when I say that he will never score 40 again.

Cheechoo.

It depends a lot on this year. Richards is the only one of them to score at a ppg+ pace, but he hasn't done it in a couple years. Kesler is the only one to score 40 goals, but he's never shown that ability before. He needs to do it again, otherwise it would just be a fluke season. Giroux has the most offensive upside, but it has yet to be realized, and he is no where near them defensively.

I think by the end of the year it will be Richards for me, although Giroux will have the most points of them.

Is he never going to play with those players again?

Anyways, 70% of his goals with garbage linemates. Think about THAT!

No, the difference is he runs the PP this year. Last year he didn't.

And there was a poll on the flyers board last season for Giroux. I'm pretty sure the majority said they were even last year and Giroux will be better in the future.

And something like 33 out of 40 were against non-playoff teams.
