In response to questions from Sens fans he basically says the Konopka hit on AA was the wrong call but the Wolski "hit" was the right call only because the rule is written poorly.

Also, Alfredson out a week with a concussion.

I don't know why Wolski wasn't suspended, or even fined. I don't think the hit was an accident.

If the goal is to eliminate all shots to the head, I don't get why this went by without any disciplinary action.

Now Alfredsson's out with a concussion? It definitely warrants a suspension.

I'm not saying this because I don't like Wolski or anything like that. It's just a stupid and irresponsible play. All unnecessary.

see what happens when the refs call go for us for once? sucks for Alfie. hope he gets better. That guy deserves to retire on his own terms.

That guy deserves to win a Cup. I hope to God he is dealt to Vancouver at the deadline to play with the Sedins.....

Detroit would also be a good spot for him.

Is he friends with Lundqvist... he would add much needed secondary scoring although it would take alot to get him. Been a fan of his for a long time..

They won a Gold Medal together but I have no idea if they are close friends or not. I am sure the Rangers would love to get him, but he is a natural RW (can play LW). I am almost 100% sure he will garner a 1st considering he is signed for another season after this one just under 5 million.

If the Rangers are in the top-4 in the East come the deadline I would love to grab both he and Neil for a playoff push.

I would have been ok with a fine, nothing more than that. Honestly it looked like Alfredson skated into him and Wolski raised his elbow to protect himself and was more of a reactionary move. Obviously the league thought the same thing since they didn't discipline him. Don't think he went out of the way to make a dirty hit, but regardless it was a hit to the head that led to an injury. CBC didn't really have a good replay of it though.

Some of the comments in that article though were hilarious.

Don't really like Neil. Much rather have a useful player like Nick Foligno. Alfredsson and Foligno would help the Rangers alot.

Yep. Like Foligno as well. Although I would have liked Chris Kelly (now a Bruin). I like Neil because of his ability to absolutely crush people with hits. In a 7 game series he would be a handful along with Prust and Boyle.

I mean Boyle and Prust were some of the more effective players in the Caps series last year because of that physical play and their aggressive truculence.

If he's available, I believe the Rangers will be interested. A guy like him or Doan is going to be what the Rangers are looking for, a veteran scoring threat, at the deadline to fill out the top 6.

haha Nah. I'm not a Wolski fan, so I didn't want my comments to seem like I was simply saying that because I don't want him to play.

If Dubinsky did that, I'd expect a suspension or fine. Rightly so.

I love Doan, id love Doan on this Rangers team.

Doan is exactly the kind of player we need up front.

Scorer, leader, and physical.

Right-handed shot, would look really good on Stepan's LW.

Dubinsky. Richards. Gaborik
Doan. Stepan. Callahan
Avery. Anisimov. Wolski
Fedotenko. Boyle. Prust

Ive said since I saw the hit I didn't think it was that terrible. Ive seen alot worse go un called. It definitely warranted a penalty but not a suspension.

I think Nick Foligno is a little puke. Never liked him

If we could get Doan or Alfie, i'd be a very happy man. ESPECIALLY if Wolski keeps playing at a decent level. That gives you three very potent lines.

Wolski has been decent.. the pts will come with him.. EC shouldnt be on this team, he is taking time from a player who can be useful and score a bit, not once a month

Frankly with all the junk that's been called this year I don't think the call on Konopka was that bad. It wasn't like AA turned, his back was to Konopka the whole time and he still drilled him into the boards. In my opinion AA deserves to take responsibility for putting himself in that position, but with the way the game is being called that was a completely reckless, thought-out, and unnecessary hit.

My first thought of the Wolski Alfredson incident was that Alfie skated into him and WW braced himself for the hit. If the contact wouldn't have been to the head, which was WW's fault to ensure that he doesn't do according to the new NHL rules, it wouldn't have been a problem.

Some day you're going to see Sean Avery type players bouncing their heads off other players gear and jumping to the ice to draw a penalty, just like players are grabbing their faces when sticks are near (Boyle) or jumping to the ice as soon as a stick touches their skates (Semin).

Konopka could've nailed AA hard but didn't, instead he turned to make a shoulder to shoulder hit and take the puck and AA turns as he's taking the hit. I don't like Sens or Konopka, but I'm glad he wasn't suspended.

WW on the other hand should've been.
