With what cap space?

They'll be fine. I don't think personnel is the issue.

Well keep in mind those 2nd and 3rd defensive lines could be interchangeable but I figured with Mike Green out BB would favor Wideman more then Hamrlck. I'm pretty confident though that I go the actual pairings right. The order on the other hand I have my doubts.

...and Carlzner broken up. May be the wake-up call Carlson in particular needs, though 4/55 would have been untenable from a mobility standpoint.

No I'm pretty sure he's going to replace Hendricks (promoted to third line) at wing on the fourth line thats now looking more and more like a third line in terms of makeup while Perreault moves over to Center to replace Halpern (healthy scratch)

Whoa whoa whoa what? Why would they break up that line? I don't mind the tinkering with the other lines but Carlzner is sacred.

Updated the 1st post with the caps lineups. I'm sure things will get more scrambled as the game goes on.

Wow. Lol, I got all three pairs wrong. I fail at life.

That Eakin on the second line also didn't help the forward line predictions I posted earlier. Double fail.

Yeah, Carlson's looked lost at times. Alzner's still been steady.

This should be interesting. I hope Eakin isn't moved off of the second line after one shift.

Gotta say that Boudreau's propensity to over-tinker is particularly irksome to me this evening. Not sure why, but chroist it seems like over-thinking.

Ah, figured it out - Boudreau is going from one extreme to another. He hasn't seemed to find the middle ground yet.

Ed - of course, it will all change at the start of the 2nd.

Unlike previously thought though pretty much all the shakeups were on the defensive end of the ice. The only change with the forwards was Eakin going to the second and Knuble going to the fourth line. Not to mention Halpern being scratched but not nearly the shakeup expected with the forward lines. Defensive pairings though are quite a surprise.

Forget Wheaties. Get that man some Ritalin. Very nervous about this type of shakeup against a team that can score in bunches. Vokoun should expect to see no less then 30 shots tonight. Wouldn't be surprised to see another 40 put on net.

i welcome seeing the kids broken up. They dont need each other to be NHL players. And this way, when one gets injured in the playoffs, they wont have to learn a new partner at the worst time. I predict Carlson will play with more of an edge paired with the big E

Lets just wait and see. It's just a beginning of the season. If it doesn't work change it back.
Its time to get this game going! I'm pumped for some reason. Could be some of that Sailor Jerry's kicking in

The last two games can be chalked up to lack of discipline, focus and work ethic but whatever. I guess shuffling the deck is his way of getting players to pay more attention since stability often seems to turn stale. That's an unfortunate way to have to operate and may speak to the process still not really being front and center.

We're getting killed on these forechecks going back to the first half of the Vancouver game.
