Detroit/Edmonton/Chicago Trade Proposal.

From a Wings fans point of view, with Jiri Hudler breaking out in the AHL, I think Robert Lang and his two years left at 3.8 Mill are expendable. Their are two teams who IMO need a legit first line offensive center, Chicago and Edmonton. Here are my proposals.

To Chicago: C Robert Lang and 3rd round pick in 2006.
To Detroit: D Brent Seabrook.

To Edmonton: C Robert Lang.
To Detroit: C Rob Schremp.

Yeah, good luck, there is no way Edmonton trades one of its best offensive prospects to come along in years for a couple years of Robert Lang. Try thinking along the lines of a draft pick and Semenov maybe, don't forget the salary cap aspect of it all.

I'm pretty sure Seabrook and Schremp are going nowhere

I'd be surprised if Lang got you Babchuk let alone Seabrook.

Even though Schremp is a prospect, I'd rather wait a year and take him. Getting Lang in return is not enough.

Let me translate this:

You want Seabrook on your favourite team.
You think it would be clever if they could dump alot of salary to do this.

Waste of time proposal IMO.

I counter that proposal with one of my own...from a Oilers fans perspective.

Datsuyk for Peca....I thing Peca's contract, plus the fact that hes not very good anymore, makes him expendable...

No way the Hawks are trading Seabrook, but at least it was a reasonable proposal.

I would dump Seabrook for Schremp faster then Michael Jackson salivates over little boys..

Seabrook is a stud, but our problem lies in the fact that we couldnt score if the goal was the size of Rosie O'Donnell's a$$.

Trade away all the young d-men we got to get some flippin offense. Keep Wisniewski though, I like his game, reminds me of Rafalski. Wis and Barker would be the only 2 outside of that...They gone!

Detroit already has the NHL equivalent of Schremp in Jason Williams

are you implying that Lang is "not very good anymore"?

if not nevermind me

Lang is needed on this team IMO, he really took his game to another level during the playoffs, expect him to do it again this year, something the other wings have been having trouble with lately in the playoffs....

In any event, I can't see Detroit moving Lang right now unless they're really sold on Hudler being NHL-ready.

Exactly, why take Hudler away from his current fantastic season anyways, if he comes here and flops or gets hurt then Holland will look like a dumbass....

Next year I think Hudler will play in the NHL....the new NHL suits him very well I'm going to be very excited to watch him play w/ the big boys....

The Sens could use a 2nd line center come playoff time, but not right now. They will wait until it gets closer to the deadline so his cap hit is smaller. Lang would be a solid addition though.
