Yeah.. there were like 13 point per game players in the NHL last year..
The last point per game rookie was Evgeni Malkin..
Pardon my point-per-game hyperbole. It sounds a bit like I believe Scheif would be shooting his glove out of the air in March as he shattered Selanne's rookie records - if only he were getting more minutes.
To put it in more reasonable terms, I was saying that Scheifele was given 3rd line minutes and linemates and RNH was given 1st line minutes and linemates...and RNH is off to a great start. Scheifele might have gotten off to a great start too, if he hadn't been playing with MacWhassisname and a Ham Sandwich for 8 minutes a night...
But hey, as long as Noel's plan was to keep him in the bottom 6, no point in burning a year of his contract and letting him languish on the bench. So in that sense, I don't question sending him down...I just question whether he had much opportunity to stick with the club.
My friend that was at that game texted me right after that to say that a coach may have also fought a fan... What did you see?
I didn't see any of that. Hawerchuk appeared to be trying to keep the res of the Colts on the bench. Boughner seemed to be more concerned with the Colt players that were in his bench. It didn't look like anything like that happened from my vantage point, but a lot was going on, I may have missed it.

What I saw was a lot of fans leaning over the Spitfires bench during the fight, security come down and send someone over the glass from in the stands down to the dressing room. May have been an equipment manager or something. For the last minute or so, the seats around the Spitfires bench were empty except for the security. It is hard to say though, I was pretty focused on the the fighting.
Kendall McFaull has been out of the Moose Jaw Warriors line-up for the past five games with a lower body injury. Looks like he'll be back on the ice for Moose Jaw's next game on Friday versus the Saskatoon Blades. This is what he tweeted about 30 minutes ago.
kmcfaull Kendall McFaull
Feels good to be back on the ice full time. Finally off the IR.
Adam Lowry is currently tied for 9th in the WHL scoring race. Adam has been playing on a line with Taylor Vause and Coda Gordon who are 1-2-3 in Broncos scoring.
Adam Lowry, SC; G-0, A-0, Plus/Minus -3, PIM-7
Adam didn't exactly have a stellar outing last game and things didn't seem much better tonight going -3 for the game with no points.
According to the latest Hockey's Future article, Will O'Neill has been nominated for the Lowe's Senior CLASS award - "The award annually recognizes the top player in his final year of eligibility that has excelled on the ice, in the classroom and in the community." Looks like O'Neill is a fine prospect.

He's also Maine's captain I believe and is scoring at very nice pace for a NCAA defenceman, granted he is a senior this year. Not sure if the NHL upside is there but if not he seems like he could be a very valuable minor pro at least.
Game preview article on Colts website: Mark Scheifele has hooked up with Ivan Telegin and Gregg Sutch on the Colts second line and have combined for eight points in two games since Scheifele’s return.
Yasin Cisse appears to be probable for Boston University for the game this Saturday, if he plays it will be his first game in more than a year. Game Preview.

How does Jason Gregoire and Eric O'Dell look so far? I know they've been with St. John's for the first month of the season. I've got them on my keeper team and I'm wondering if they're worth holding onto...
Anyone watch them play in the AHL recently?
-Do they stand out?
-How soon could they get called up?
-What's their potentials?
Tell me all you know both positives and negatives about the guys.
