The look on his face makes me think he was in a state of shock at what had just happened. Completely blank.

Wow, that looked nasty. Glad to hear he'll be ok. Could have been much, much worse.

Damn it hearing the PA on the video reminded me that I forgot to redeem my free taco from Taco Bueno. :-/

"It was pretty deep, so they had to start from the inside to get all the muscles and everything that was cut," Grossman said. “It felt sore the day after, but it feels fine.”

...I would not have been so calm.

Skate cuts always terrify me. Glad that he's way tougher than I am and seems to be okay. He did seem to be in shock immediately after it happened, which is pretty consistent with reactions to other cuts I've seen to the neck and/or face.

Glad to hear that he's okay, that could've been a hell of a lot worse.

That almost made me toss my cookies, but I'm somewhat of a hemophiliac.

Tough guy, though.

Imagine if that hit his eyeball? Goodbye hockey career.

I think that's just his face. Usually he has a completely blank expression all the time.

An inch higher and he loses his eye, an inch lower and it probably cuts his facial nerve. That was DEEP.

Unrealated to this, but a couple of years ago a Sharks (I think, maybe LA?) player intentionally blocked a puck with his face because he didn't have time to go legs first. Anybody remembers this, who it was and if there's a video of it?

Can't stop thinking about nba players that roll around on the ground for 5+ minutes over getting bumped in the face.

I imagine that has more to do with trying to draw a call.
