He had no goals against us when he played 20 minutes and was pretty much going to get a shutout. I consider him two for three with shutouts. The April 2nd loss was a gift to us to match us up with Boston since he already fell out of the playoffs.

I can't argue with that since it's usually true.. If the Habs don't score in the 1st period against Marty he usually shuts them out..

He ****ing sucks tonight though.. 4 goals on 11 shots I thought they just said on TSN.. Ugly.

All of Lupul's goals weren't very good. One of the easiest hat tricks I've seen scored.

Brodeur isn't done, but he sure has spoon fed the Leafs another win tonight. Not that losing against the Devils would have done it, but we have to put up with the hype for a little bit longer unfortunately... The Leafs annual meltdown can't come soon enough.

I doubt that happens anytime soon, the Leafs will be fighting for a playoffs spot IMO

Exactly, they probably will be fighting for one instead of comfortably being 1 point out of 2nd. And while it might not be as bad as previous years, my bet is their scoring drys up at one point or another. They appeared worse than they were last year, and appear better than they are this year.

They're very weak. They're just running into, well, stuff like tonight.

Their underlying metrics though are pretty ugly. So don't bet on their scoring spree to last.

I'd imagine a trade with LA for one of the two young goalies but who knows.

First shift back for Vanek, he draws a penalty and the Sabres score on the delayed call.

The problem with the Leafs is just how much they are relying on Kessel. This is definitely the best Leafs team in a long time, but if Kessel hits a dry spell the team will go down with him.

Teams that rely on one player like that, who are also poor defensively, rarely keep it up.

Unless they pull a reverse version of what happened to us last year.

Even then -- their percentages are beyond the pale right now, there's essentially no chance they don't come down.

I agree, they could continue to win, but that would involve playing better hockey imo.

Not NHL related but worth watching. Would love Subban to pull something like this.
