Don't call it a comeback, he's been here for years.

Wouldn't be suprised to see Burke sign him for some more media attention.

In all seriousness, it wouldn't be a bad move though.

The hockey world needs more Hasek. Most entertaining goalie, heck one of the most entertaining PLAYERS, ever. And among the best. He's the best I've seen, for sure. I saw Tretiak, but Hasek was better.

Since Hasek, I have completely changed my view of goalies. It ain't how, it's how many (saves). Wasting a first-round pick on a cookie-cutter goaltender is not the preferred way to go, imo.

And his interviews were pure gold, too.

I have to disagree. One of the greatest of all time maybe but not the greatest of all time.

Hasek played in an era where rules were completely different. Hockey now is totally not the same when Hasek was in his prime and going off of history like that, I guess the Montreal Canadiens would be the best team in history because of all their cup winnings.

An excellent goalie and one of the best for sure though.

PHX should pick him up. That'll bring the fans in.

He wants his all time single season save percentage record back.

Man if he gets into the NHL and plays opposite Thomas, that'd be something.

You're making it sound like he played 50 years ago or something. His prime lasted from the mid 90s to the early 00s, so I don't really get what you mean.

Just out of curiosity who do you consider the greatest of all time? There's only 3-4 you could make a solid argument for and still in my books he's clearly the best goaltender the world has ever witnessed.

I still remember when Hasek got a 12 save shutout over the Habs back when they sucked while playing for the Senators. He said that it was the easiest shutout of his career, and in some ways it shouldn't count. Habs fans were pissed.

Hasek said last year that he won't play this year but will come back for another season. I'm pretty sure he won't be coming back to NHL, the schedule is just too much for him.

That's why dude was so good. You don't need muscle mass to stop a puck. I'm butchering this quote to hell I'm sure, but when he was asked about is unorthodox style flopping everywhere, Hasek replied "Who cares as long as I'm stopping the puck".

He's the last real goalie.
