To even compare Forsberg's hockey sense with Gretzky's is one of the most ridiculous things ever said.

Yet, Sakic's career highs in both regular season points and playoff points are both higher.

Forsberg was never the best player on the Avalanche during their Stanley Cup runs. Sakic was the best forward both years, and even won a Stanley Cup with Forsberg out of the lineup.

It is common knowledge?

Age is irrelevant. If he was a 40 year old who earned 20 goals, many teams would be interested in him. Everyone knew that he played like ass and that his 20 goals were a result of Crosby, so no one picked him up.

And your post doesn't even make any sense. His aging over that 3 month off-season made him go from a legitimate 20 goal scorer.. into a 39 year old who couldn't play? You basically just admitted that he was old and useless, and that his points were a result of Sid.

Sad part is that he literally could have had 30 goals had he not butchered so many of Sid's passes.

It's not always about points you know. Cheechoo scored 56 goals, do you think he dominated out there?

Sakic was pretty good to elite in many departement not involving points (like leadership, defence, etc...)

In playoff i think it is close. If you take all Forsberg best moment against young Crosby career at the moment. (still a little edge to Crosby if I have to choose).

Forsberg was PPG/under in 1995-1996 playing a lot of game on a very good team, hard time to imagine Crosby not doing better at 22/23 year's old in the same situation.

Sakic on the same team had 34 points, Kamensky 22, Ozolynsh 19, Deadmarsh 17.

1996-1997 not that different.

Again, could not see a 22-23 year's old Crosby with less point that Kamensky whit a lot of game played.

AINEC? You guys make me laugh. I respect somebody's opinion but there a some limits sometimes.

Sakic had a better career yes but never close to the same talent as Forsberg. I should know, it's my team and they played together.

I think Sakic was close talent wise, I remember Sakic having one of the best wrist shot from both foot ever, very good on reception shot, very good everything.

1996 playoff sakic and 2001 sakic was very very good and close to Forsberg, some will put Sakic ahead of Forsberg.
