Nice, anything is better than the current offering of pisswater domestics.

Amen to that. If you haven't watched already, check out 'Beer Wars' (on Netflix on-demand right now).

Beer wars..should be watched by all. Great movie

Yazoo should be applauded for getting people to drink craft beer in this market! Because of them, I can get frenchbroad, highland, lefthand, caldera, terrapin, etc

Their beer?...eh. They are spendng to much time contract brewing gerst and hap'n harry's and not enough time on consistently brewing their own
brands. Butter is not a desired flavor in beer!

Not to mention, they didn't support the the Preds when they needed businesses to by tickets, while their beer was served In the jack Daniels club. "support your local brewery"? How about support the people supporting you!?

Sorry for the rant, I just have strong feelings about beer and my hockey team. Its great that there are other choices now, but I will stick with Sierra Nevada until their is something better in the building. Yazoo ain't it.

No question we need some other draft offerings; been twice they've been out of Sam Adams, at least at the bar (fox tn?) over by sec 104, cause the other choices - meh.

Because Sierra Nevada is supporting Tennessee so well.

State laws change to get a brewery built in East TN, and SN still walks away.

i'll support Yazoo.

I'd love to support the hometown brew, but Yazoo is mediocre at best and really lacks quality control and consistency IMO. I'd rather have a Calfkiller

Ya, and the law that they helped changed was one that disallowed Yazoo from having a monopoly on high gravity beers (for a brewery) in this region. Law also helped all future tennesse breweries. Trust me, they only thing SN not being in tennesse changed was jobs in alcoa Tennessee. If you would like to keep discussing, let me know. I will gladly help move beer forward in this market.

And don't make it seem like SN is evil. They came to TN saying they are interested in a few states, but would like to know if laws could change. They changed. And SN decided to go with one of the other states. They didn't Mia-lead anyone. If TN didn't have highest liqour taxes and antiquated laws, things might have been different.

I'm not even a SN fan. All their beers give me headaches. Only place I drink it is at Bridgestone.

Great news. Great to see the arena aligning with more local companies. Keep the money in the community where it belongs.

I would argue that Hop Project is one of the better IPAs that I have had, and I try an IPA whenever I can (though I have definitely had better)

Other than that I am not a huge fan of Yazoo. Not so much because of quality control, but because of flavors they like to brew.

edit: I never buy beer at the arena. Do they sell Blackstone?

I agree that there are some hop projects that have been good, but that all depends on the batch. Its not their flavora they decide to brew with that i dont like unless Diacetyl is something they decided was good for beer.

No, I haven't heard blackstone is there.

I'm too poor to buy it often. Maybe my pallet just isn't up to par

I am taking donations to test this theory of quality control or lack thereof

At least with those people could actually "chant" rather than just blare it into your ear

I do wish there was a Tootoo Whistle 101. So many people overdo it.
