That GDT was... interesting... but anyway I just wanted to say good luck and that you swapped our right and left-handed defensemen all the way for whatever reason. And that Vandermeer and Braun will be playing over White and Demers. Murray, Vlasic, and Vandermeer are LHD, Boyle, Burns, and Braun are RHD. Not a big deal, but just in case it matters.

looks like Jeffrey's going to get the scratch instead of Letestu judging from the gameday report.

That's bull****. So who moves to wing of Park/Vitale? Jeffrey hasn't played too well recently, but at least he can play LW.

Edit: At least it'll be interesting to see what a possible 4th line of Vitale-Letestu-Adams could look like. Assuming Letestu turns it around and Asham is a healthy scratch.

This coaching staff just doesn't know what they have with DJ. He is getting literally no chance to prove what he has offensively. Instead when we need a 2nd line center Park or Letestu get the shot even though I'm pretty sure we all know what their offensive potential is.

I don't mind about Park given how well he's played but Jeffrey definitely should have been given a chance over Letestu.

They recalled Picard so...my guess would be that Letang is out even though he's a GTD.

If he's a gametime decision, they can't really wait until gametime to call up a replacement.

Picard goddammit? Why didn't they just keep Valabik up? Valabik may be like Hal Gill without the brains, but he's still better than Picard.

So... Letestu has been given chances and has failed miserably. On the other hand, DJ isn't getting a chance despite his potential. Makes sense...

Letestu may have been playing better at practice? Who knows?

I like when coaches go back to a guy after he's been riding the pine for a while. If Letestu doesn't begin playing well from here on out, his ticket is punched out of town, I'd say.

Another thing to consider is that if Crosby and Kennedy are as close to returning as it seems then Shero might only have 2 more games to evaluate which two among Vitale/Jeffrey/Letestu/Park/MacIntyre are going to be sent packing.

Big - great job on the GDT! I'm happy I haven't seen any injury talk yet. Oh.. I'm sure it's coming.

I'm sure it won't be like this for all season (probably for both guys), but truthfully both guys haven't earned any playing time. I wouldn't worry about it. Bylsma will get them back to their normal form.

Because Valabik just got off IR and hasn't even played a game in the AHL yet....

And Bortuzzo is hurt....
And Strait is hurt ...

Valabik hasn't played an NHL game since early February of 2010 when he tore his ACL. He spent the entire last season in the minors and had no training camp this fall. None of that applies to Picard so it's a no-brainer who to take along as 7th D.

Bortuzzo is actually playing again, but you're right about Strait. Despres wouldn't have been a bad decision to see where he's at against NHL competition. I don't think he's actually ready, but one game wouldn't hurt anything. Especially considering he's the future and Picard isn't even the present.

I noticed that too, haha. Why aren't White and Demers in the lineup tonight?

Can't stop laughing, BigMac. Great GDT.

The thing with Jeffrey is he's probably going through exactly what Geno is. Letestu for now, is probably healthier. Both will have their chances.

Jeffrey looks like he is in slow motion right now. As bad as Letestu looks, Jeffrey has been downright awful. Granted Jeffrey has a much better excuse, but that will matter more when they need to figure out who to cut loose, not who to play tonight.

This might be a showcase game for Letestu
